ハロウィーン Halloween

ソウルの街で痛ましい事故が発生した。

この事故は、ハロウィーンだけでなく、超人気ドラマの影響もあったようだ。

私は、日本版にリメイクされた「六本木クラス」しか見ていないので、実は現地のことはよくわからない。
 
ハロウィーンは、本来、秋の収穫を祝い、悪霊を追い払う宗教的行事で、11月1日の諸聖人の日の前夜祭である。

仮装するのは、悪霊に人間だと気づかれないよう、身を守るためだ。
 
それが、日本では、仮装して練り歩くという若者の大きなイベントになってきた。韓国でも同様だったのだろうか？

本来、悪霊を追い払うべきだったのに、とても残念な結果である。

「旅と想像 創造」東京都庭園美術館 Travel and Imagination: Creation" Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum

東京都庭園美術館は、旧朝香宮邸である。その朝香宮夫妻が100年前に行った欧州旅行が、テーマとなっている。

さらに旅に関係するアーティストの作品なども展示されている。

あのファッション・デザイナーの高田賢三氏のバリへの旅行の記録や当時デザインした民族衣装に模した服などもあった。

少し散漫な企画のような気がしたが、色々な視点から旅に関する展示を考えていたことは、よく理解出来た。

残念だったのが、旧朝香宮邸の建物の撮影が殆ど制限されていて出来なかったことだ。

展示会によって、それが可能な時もあるらしいので、次に来るときは、予め調べてからいくことにする。

期待が持てるラグビー日本代表 Japan Rugby Team with High Expectations

誰もいなくても、沢山の人がいるように見える国立競技場。
しかし、今日は満席だった。

それは、ラグビー日本代表対ニュージーランド代表の試合だから。

試合開始前の儀式？で有名なオールブラックス。このチームには一度も勝てていない。前回は最小得点差だったが、それでも38点も差をつけられている。

そんなチームを相手に、今回、日本代表はよく戦った。

多分、これは前回のワールドカップ日本開催や、昨年末のリーグワン発足なども影響しているのだろう。

私が応援する横浜キャノンイーグルスからは、誰も代表選手が選ばれなかったのはちょっと残念だったが、もしかしたら、大逆転もあるかもしれないという可能性を感じた試合ではあった。

もうワンランクアップして、来年のフランス大会で、日本の凄さを世界中に知らしめて欲しい。

The National Stadium looks like a lot of people even if no one is there.
However, it was full today.

「港町ヨコハマの風景 -港と丘の協奏-」 浜野四郎 水彩画展 Landscape of Port Town Yokohama -Concert of Port and Hills Shiro Hamano Watercolor Exhibition

馬車道駅近くの万国橋ギャラリーで開催されていた水彩画展に寄ってみた。

横浜のみなとみらいエリア、山下町、山手の洋館など主要な観光スポットを描いている。

実際に絵になる風景を、上手な人が絵にしているので、見ていて飽きない。

作者ご本人にお会いしたが、年齢を重ねるとタッチが減り、絵がシンプルになるとのこと。

あれ？　
そういえば、この前行った、いわさきちひろさんの美術館でもそのことを感じた。

こういうことなのか？
伝えたい本質だけを見つめて、いらないものを削ぎ落とす。

それが極意なのかもしれない。
絵だけでなく、生き方、ライフスタイルにも通ずることのような気がする。

I dropped by the watercolor exhibition at Bankokubashi Gallery near Bashamichi Station.

The paintings depict major sightseeing spots in Yokohama, including the Minato Mirai area, Yamashita-cho, and Western-style houses in Yamate.

The paintings are of actual picturesque scenery, done by people who are very good at what they do, so you never get tired of looking at them.

We met the artist himself, and he told us that as he gets older, his touch decreases and his paintings become simpler.

I felt that at the Chihiro Iwasaki Museum of Art I visited the other day.

電子通貨「しまぽ」を知っているかい？ Have you ever heard of electronic currency "Shimapo"?

伊豆大島に行った際に利用した電子通貨しまぽ。

全国旅行支援とは別に東京都が伊豆諸島など11の島々で使えるようにスマートフォン用発行している。
 
１万円の宿泊旅行商品券を7000円で購入することが出来、そのうち必ず3000円分は宿泊施設で利用することになっている。
 
私自身は2泊3日の伊豆大島の旅で3万円分を購入。実費は2.1万円だったので、9000円は得したことになる。

全国旅行支援とも併用できるので、頭の中がこんがらがってしまったが、得したことは間違いない。
 
少なくとも、大島においては、全国旅行支援のチケットより使える店舗や施設が各段に多かった。

来年3月末まで利用できるので、伊豆七島や八丈島などに行ってみようと思う人には、検討をお勧めする。

霞城公園の秋薊 Autumn thistle in Kajo Park

霞城公園は誰でも無料で入れる憩いの場である。訪れた朝には、観光客はほとんどおらず、散歩やジョギングを楽しむ地元の人がいるくらいだ。

ただ、山形城本丸の再現調査中であるため、公園の多くの部分が工事現場のような様相で少し無粋な感じであった。

そんな中で、最も彩りがあったのが、あざみ。紫色が朝の公園の中で一際目立っていた。

「年を取ると何故１年が早く感じるのか？」という疑問に対して、私は、「人生全体分の１年」だからだと考えていた。

例えば、中学生の３年間は、15歳のうちの３年、高校生であれば18歳のうちの３年。

つまり人生の1/5や1/6を占めているでの、経験を覚えているし、その機間を一緒に過ごす同級生らとも濃い関係にもなるのだと。

この考え方を裏付けるような理論が存在することを知った。

それは「ジャネーの法則」と呼ばれる理論である。「歳を取ると未経験のことが減るから、その分、時間を短く感じる」ということ。

この体感時間による理論によると、100歳まで生きるとして、50歳の人の体感時間はすでに87％になっている。「だから、時間は大切な希少資
源だ」という。

ということで、この本の主な読者を40歳代から50歳代の「これからどう生きていこうか」と考え始める人と想定している。

著者は、経営コンサルタントから大学教授となった人で、その中で考えた21の思考法を図解で紹介しつつ、人生の後半生を考えるため提案をしている。

私自身の感想は、21の思考法がすべて英語表現なのが、少し理解しにくかったが、『後半生は好きなこと、やりたいことをやればよい』という結論には、十分に共感できた。

バームクーヘンのような地層 Formations like a baumkuchen

伊豆大島の元町港から波浮港に向かう途中にあるのが、地層大切断面。

過去約2万年間に繰り返された噴火や約100回の噴出物の結果が現れていて、不思議な紋様である。

630メートルに渡るので、どこからどのように写真を撮るか迷った。

また、どのようにこの地層が出来てきたのか、その過程をとても知りたくなった。

首都圏から近い伊豆大島は、やはり火山観光地だと改めて認識させられた。

伊豆大島には、日本で唯一、国土地理院が発行する地図で「砂漠」と表記される場所がある。

それが、この裏砂漠。「裏」は地名でもなく、裏社会的で少し怖い。

実際に訪れた裏砂漠は、確かにあまり足を踏み入れたくないような場所だった。

それは、黒い火山灰であるスコリアが暗く怖い雰囲気を醸し出していたからだ。

因みに、24節気の霜降(そうこう)は、読んで字の如く、霜が張る時期である。

訪れた時は、霜降りは見えなかったが、何となく、湿り気を感じたのは、「裏」だからだろうか？

正直なところ10年か15年くらい前のことだと思っていたけど、36年も前のことだと知って驚いた。

実は、今日、初めて伊豆大島に上陸した。そして、宿の温泉から戻ってきたところ。

三原山の火口を一周歩いて回り、未だに出ている煙と風の強さに驚き、脚の筋肉痛を心配しながら、スーパードライを飲んでいるのが、まさに今。

当時、被災された方々には申し訳ないけど、地球が織りなす自然現象に、人間は抗えないことを実感した一日であった。

「運のいい人の法則」リチャード・ワイズマン博士 "The Law of the Lucky One" Dr. Richard Wiseman.

なんとなく嘘くさいタイトルの本だが、「もっと早く読んでおきたかった」と後悔した。
 
著者はマジシャンから心理学者になった異例の経歴をもつ。そして、真剣に運のいい人と悪い人の研究をつづけた結果、明らかに法則があることを見つけ出した。
 
そして、運のいい人の性格の傾向や運を鍛えるための４つの法則などを事例を交えて説明している。
 
最後にこの本を象徴するような言葉で締めくくる。これを知って実践していれば、億万長者になれていたかもしれないと思うと、冒頭の後悔の念に・・・？
 
『運のいい人は自分でも気づかないうちに、幸せで充実した人生を送れるような考え方を身に着けていく。』

外見はうらがれてるが生きている85 Outwardly disfigured, but alive

写真は、山寺の駅前近くのお店前に生えていた「枯れているような草」である。

こんな草のように若い人は、中高年を見ているのだろうか？

歳をとると一年があっという間に感じる。そのことについて、私は以前から、分母がこれまでの人生、分子が一年で、段々とそれが小さくなるからだと考えていた。

例えば、中学や高校時代の友人とは、3年/15歳や3年/18歳だから、人生の1/5や1/6を一緒に過ごしたから、沢山の思い出もあり、関係が深くなると思っていた。

そのことを概ね裏付けるような記事をwebで読んだ。

それは、「歳を取ると未経験のことが減るから、その分、時間を短く感じる」というもので、『ジャネーの法則』というらしい。

あまり「経験」のことを考えていなかったので、この記事をみて納得した。

そして、この法則に基づき、100歳まで生きるとした場合、40歳で人生の83%の体感時間となり、50歳では87歳になるという。

つまり、ほとんど終わりかけているということだ。

では、それ以上になってしまった人は、どう生きれば良いのか？

これについては、「時間は大切な希少資源だ」と考え、未知の体験に挑戦することが大事だという。

また、「やるべき事」ではなく、「やりたい事」すなわち「充実を感じることに時間を使うこと」が、大切なようだ。

なるほど、今後は、このことを頭に入れて、「一年は長い！」と感じるように生きてやる。

山寺仁王門の脇役に注目！

この仁王門は、1848年に再建された。その名の通り、門の両脇に祀られている「仁王様」が主役だ。

有名な運慶の弟子たちによって作られたものなので、なおさらである。

しかし、私はそれよりも仁王像の上にいる龍に興味を持った。硬いケヤキの木から、これほど躍動感溢れる龍を彫り出すには、それなりの技術が必要だっただろう。

主役ばかりでなく、たまには、脇役に注目すると、なんとなく晴れがましい気分になる。

This Niomon Gate was rebuilt in 1848. As the name suggests, the "Nioisama" enshrined on either side of the gate are the stars of the show.

However, I was more interested in the dragon on top of the Deva. It must have required a certain amount of skill to carve such a dynamic dragon out of hard zelkova wood.

また、赤とんぼを正式名のアキアカネに言い換えただけの俳句も恐縮至極。

前回は、赤い薔薇に止まっているのを多くみた時だったが、こちらは、もう少し赤が目立つものに止まっている写真。

別に保護色を狙っていたわけではなかったようだ。

それにしても、人間に慣れているのか、怖さをしらないのか、山形の赤とんぼは、なんとなく可愛らしい。

常設展が素晴らしい！日本科学未来館 Great Permanent Exhibits! The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation

動画クリエイター展は、特別展だが、むしろここは常設展が凄い。

建物の名が表すとおり、未来と科学のことをわかりやすく、展示している。ロボット.IPS細胞など最新の技術などもある。

しかもどれも莫大な費用がかかっている。そして。3〜5階の吹き抜け部分に吊るされている地球儀は、雲の様子が動画で示されていて、見ていて飽きない。

残念ながら、時間の関係でドームシアターを見ることが出来なかったが、是非次回はじっくりと楽しみたい。

「動画クリエイター展」日本科学未来館 Video Creator Exhibition" National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan)

お台場の日本科学館で開催されている動画クリエイター展に行ってみた。

新しいカメラを買った私は、写真だけでなく、動画にも興味を持ち始めたからだ。

9組の有名YouTuberらへのインタビュー、舞台裏、1日の生活スタイルなどが展示されている。

彼らはに共通するのは、まずやり始めることが大事なこと、そして、テーマを持つことの大事さを学んだ気がする。勿論、楽しみながら。

また、奥の方には、動画制作の体験コーナーなどもある。一人で行った私は照れ臭くてあまり体験できなかったが、数人で行けば、楽しめるだろう。

全体的に、絵画や写真などの展示とは違い、練れた展示ではなかったが、今後、継続する中で見せ方も変わってくるかもしれないと感じた。

I visited the Video Creator Exhibition at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan) in Odaiba, Tokyo.

This is because I bought a new camera and became interested not only in photography but also in moving images.

The exhibition includes interviews with nine famous YouTubers, behind-the-scenes footage, and a day in the life of a YouTuber.

I think what they all have in common is that they have learned the importance of getting started and having a theme. And of course, to have fun.

There is also a hands-on video production corner in the back of the building. I went alone and was too shy to try it, but if you go with a few people, you will probably enjoy it.

Overall, unlike the paintings and photographs, this was not a well-thought-out exhibition, but I felt that the way it is presented may change as it continues.

保護色に羽を休める赤蜻蛉83 Red dragonfly resting its wings in protective colors

再び、山形のネタ。
 
写真は東沢バラ公園のもの。薔薇の写真を撮ろうとしたら、「撮ってｋれ～！」とばかりに赤トンボが止まった。
 
実は、横浜では、まだ赤トンボを見ていないので、山形は赤トンボが多くていいなぁと思っていた。

（因みに赤とんぼは通称であり、正式にはアキアカネと呼ぶらしい。）
 
本当は白や黄色の薔薇に止まってくれた方が、写真映えするのだが、同じ色の方が、外敵から身を守れるからなのだろうか、なんとなく赤い薔薇に多く止まっていた気がする。
 
冒頭の俳句では、上句を「赤薔薇に」としたかったが、薔薇は夏の季語。

赤蜻蛉は秋の季語のため、季語が二つになってしまうので、やむなく「保護色」を採用したが、俳句の言葉使いらしくないと、まだ気になっている。

Actually, I had not seen any red dragonflies in Yokohama yet, so I thought it would be nice to see many red dragonflies in Yamagata.

Actually, it would have been more photogenic if they had perched on white or yellow roses, but I think they were more likely to perch on red roses, perhaps because the same color is better protection against foreign enemies.

In the opening haiku, I wanted to use "on red roses," but rose is a summer term.

練馬区立美術館に行ったついでに、折角だからと寄ってみた。

私は、いわさきちひろさんが子供向けの絵本の挿絵を多く描いていることは知っていたが、ご本人のことはまったく知らなかった。

そしてこの美術館を訪れて初めて、彼女が1918年、つまり大正7年の生まれで、既に亡くなっていたことなどを知った。

また、現在、黒柳徹子さんがこの美術館と安曇野にある美術館、両方の館長を務めていることも知って驚いた。

美術館そのものは、彼女の自宅兼アトリエの跡地に建っている。

大きな通りから少しだけ中に入った閑静な場所である。不整形な建物であるゆえにその隙間となる中庭が落ち着いた雰囲気を醸し出していた。

展示内容は、新聞記者をやりながら挿絵を描いていた下町の屋根裏部屋時代の作品から、晩年の作品まで一貫して見ることができる。

実際にご本人が使ったアトリエをそのまま残してあるのもとても興味深かった。

そんな中、特に、私が感心したのは、徐々に絵のタッチが簡潔になっていくことだった。つまりタッチが少なくなっていくということだ。

出来るだけ最低限の下線や色塗りで表現し、一気に完成まで仕上げようとしているように感じた。

絵の性質にもよるが、プロとはそういうものなのかと感心したとともに、ほのぼのとした絵を見て、気持ちも穏やかになれた時間であった。

It seemed to me that the artist was trying to express himself with the minimum possible underlining and coloring, and to complete the work all at once.

踏ん切りつかない海外旅行 Traveling abroad with no way to get off the ground

世界の中でも遅れていた日本における海外旅行の水際対策が11日から大幅に緩和された。
併せて、全国旅行支援も始まった。

台湾では日本への旅行が大盛況との報道もあったが、海外から日本への旅行者は、近年ないほどの円安もあり、相当にお得感も増している。
 
そうした意味で、これまで大変厳しい状況だった旅行業界にとっては、待望の日となった。

ただ、私自身は半分しか喜べない。
何故なら、国内旅行は全国旅行支援の恩恵を受けることなる一方、最も行きたいヨーロッパ旅行に新たなハードルが出来てしまっているからだ。
 
それは、マイレージを使うにしても、燃油サーチャージが異常に高くなっていること。

コロナ禍でキャンセルしたウイーンやプラハに行くには、ロシア上空を飛べず、14時間以上と大幅に時間がかかること。

さらに、現地に行っても円安の影響で宿泊や食事の費用がかなり割高になることなどだ。
 
そんなことを気にしていたら、何時までたっても行けないわけなので、そろそろ計画を立てなければとは思っているものの、何故か踏ん切りがつかない。
 
これもコロナ禍で発想が内向きになってしまったからなのだろうか。

「日本の中のマネ」練馬区立美術館 "Manet in Japan" Nerima Art Museum

一言で言えば、マネは印象派のリーダー的な存在であるにも関わらず、日本にはマネの作品が少ない。

そこで、出来るだけ、日本にあるマネ作品を集めてみた。

また、マネに影響を受けた日本人画家の作品を紹介する。

さらに。現代において、マネをどう解釈しているかということを日本の美術家の作品を通して展示しているのが、この展示会。

正直なところ、練馬区立美術館がここまでやるのかと、その、頑張りを認めざるをえない内容だった。

確かにマネの作品はあまり見ることは出来ない。今回の展示でも油絵よりエッチングの作品などが多かった。

それでも、日本の画家達も触発されていることがよくわかり、とても良い企画だったと感じている。

ただ、森村泰昌氏の作品はいつ見ても作者へのオマージュではなく、パロディだと思うが、私だけだろうか？

山形の三日月照らす秋夕焼 82 Autumn evening glow of Yamagata's crescent moon

山形のホテルでビールを飲んでいたら、窓の外に夕焼けが見えた。

窓を開けると三日月までくっきりと見えた。

その時、以前見た星空写真家であるKAGAYA氏の作品を思い出した。
 
しかし、先月の十五夜の際、満月を撮ろうとしたが、まったくうまく撮れなかったことも同時に思いだした。
 
「まあ、時間もあるし、ちょっとチャレンジしてみるか？」といろいろ試しながら撮った写真の一つが掲載した写真。

恥ずかしながら、何枚か撮ったうち、この１枚だけが三日月の形になっていた。
 
自分自身、何をどうしたのかよく覚えていない。あまり理解もしていないで、試したものだから、この写真と他の写真の露出、絞り、シャッタースピードなどのデータを比較してみようかと思う。
 
早く一瞬のうちにどんな設定で撮ればよいか分かるようになりたいが、写真の世界はそんなに甘くはなさそうだ。

せわしくも汗ひとつなし寒露かな 81 It is the time of cold dew, so I am busy but not sweating

寒露の時期なので、忙しいが汗をかかない

今年は、自分の中で二四節気毎に俳句を創りブログにアップすると決めていた。

しかし、最近ブログを予約投稿にしているため、ちょっと失敗。

ということで、1日遅れの寒露の俳句となった。

ただ、俳句というより、サラリーマン川柳に近い内容。

実は、親の入院をするため、一日中忙しなく動き回ったのが昨日。

必要な荷物、過去の病歴、介護のことなどを書類に記載したり、食事の手配、入院中の服のことなど、様々なことを一気に整理して、病院に伝えるのは、とても大変だ。

多分、もう少し早い時期なら汗もダラダラ状態だったろうが、流石にこの時期になってくると、汗はかかなくて済むんだなぁ〜と帰宅途中に思った。

でも、入院は本当に疲れる。

横浜馬車道の万国橋ギャラリーで開催中の展示会に行った。

私は美術館には何度も行っているが、ギャラリーは少し敷居が高いとこれまで感じていた。

実際に、入口で氏名などを記帳したら、備考欄に関係する団体名を記入するようになっていた。

ほぼ全ての人が団体名などを記入していたが、私はそうではない。

そうしたら飛び込みの客は珍しいらしく、受付の人が、わざわざ「入口のポスターを見て入ってくれた人です」と画家御本人に伝えてくれたようだ。

当然ながら、少ししたら、当のご本人、つまり先生が横に来て色々と説明してくれた。

例えば、「船を描く画家は少ない」ということなど。

また、10/22に横浜みなと博物館のリニューアルオープン記念で開催される「船のポスターを描こう」というワークショップでも講師を務めるらしい。

さらに、いくつかの船に関する機関紙などの表紙に先生の絵が掲載されているし、今回の展示会の入口には、横浜港振興協会からもとても立派な花が届いていた。

実は、本当に絵を気に入ったので、思い切って一作品、買おうかと思った。

しかし、「衝動買いしたくなった時は、少し時間を置いてから」という、節約家のアドバイスを思い出し、踏みとどまった。

そして、今、頭を冷やしながら本当に欲しいか、自分自身に問いている。

In fact, I really liked the painting so much that I thought I would take the plunge and buy one of his works.

However, I remembered the advice of a saver, "If you are tempted to make an impulse purchase, give it some time," and held off.

「日本史を疑え」本郷和人 "Doubt Japanese History" Kazuto Hongo

著者は、東京大学史料編纂所教授で日本中世史の専門家。

そもそも私はタイトルが気になったので、読んでみたのだが、当たり前だと思っていた歴史を疑ってみること、自分の頭で考えてみることを著者は提案している。
 
例えば、「幕府を開いた」という歴史用語から疑ってみろという。

さらに時代の変わり目をどこでみるか。「国のかたち」は時代によっても変わるなど、教科書に書いてあった日本史をそのまま信用していた自分にとって、目から鱗が落ちるような内容であった。
 
その上で、古代、平安時代、鎌倉時代、室町時代、戦国時代そして江戸時代とそれぞれの時代について、興味深いテーマを取り上げて書かれていたので、一気に読み終えることが出来た。
 
個人的には「時代の変わり目」にとても興味を持った。

多くの場合、その時代の体制が崩壊して、次の世代へと変化する過程というのは、沢山の事件や事象が起こり、紆余曲折があり、さらに多くの命が犠牲になっている上に成り立っていることだ。
 
そんな中で思ったのは、今の時代は当時よりグローバル化しているので、単に日本だけで考えることは出来なくなっている。

つまり、世界の中での日本という視点が必要であり、ウクライナ情勢や台湾情勢など、民主主義と権威主義の対立の構図が強くなる今こそ、大きな時代の変わり目に来ているのかもしれないということだった。

Personally, I was very interested in the "turn of the age.

In many cases, the process of the collapse of a regime and its transition to the next generation is based on many incidents and events, twists and turns, and the sacrifice of many more lives.

In such a situation, I thought that it is no longer possible to think only in terms of Japan, since the current era is more globalized than that time.

In other words, it is necessary to consider Japan in the context of the rest of the world, and the current situation in Ukraine and Taiwan, where the conflict between democracy and authoritarianism is becoming stronger, may be the time for a major turning point.

山形市役所の近くにある郷土館は、大正（1916）5年に県庁舎及び県会議事堂として建設された英国近世復興様式のレンガ造りの国指定の重要文化財。
 
大正ロマンの建物に興味がある人にはお勧めできる。入館料はなんと無料であり、私は利用しなかったが、無料でガイドもしてもらえる。
 
当初、展示物などもあるのに無料にしている理由が分からなかったが、議事堂をコンサートホールとして貸したり、そのほかの部屋を会議室やギャラリーとして貸すことで収入を得ているようだ。
 
展示内容も充実しているが、個人的にはそれよりも建物自体に興味があるので、時間つぶしのため訪れたが、とても得をした気分となった。

Located near Yamagata City Hall, the Yamagata Prefectural Folk Museum was built in 1916 as a prefectural government building and prefectural assembly hall in the English Early Modern Revival style of brick construction, and is a nationally designated Important Cultural Property.

I visited the museum to kill some time, but I felt like I got a lot out of it.

美しく危険な御釜 Beautiful and dangerous okama

折角、蔵王まで来たのに御釜に行かないのは勿体ないと思い、予定を変えて御釜に行った。
 
前日に訪れた蔵王ロープウエイの地蔵山頂駅からも歩いていくことも出来た。

しかし、山道をかなりの時間歩く必要があるので諦めて、翌日、バスで行くことにした。
 
webの情報では、霧で沼を見れないこともしばしばあると聞いていたが、運よく当日は快晴。

展望台からの写真は撮れたが、さらに近くまで行こうとすると、岩がゴロゴロしていて、とても歩きにくかった。

自分はスニーカーを履いていたが、出来ればトレッキングシューズを履いて行くことをお勧めする。
 
活火山で、いつ噴火するか分からないので、すぐに避難するためにも、歩きやすい靴はとても大事だと感じた。

そうした緊張の中で眺めた御釜は、水面だけでなく廻りの地層などの色合いも火山らしく、とても魅力的だ。

でも、実際、沼の水は強酸性である。いつ噴火するかもわからない。そんなことから、私は地獄のイメージとも重なった。

美しい地獄

そう、美しくて危険なものは、場所も人も、遠くから見ている方が身のためだ。

I thought it would be a shame not to go to Okama when I had come all the way to Zao, so I changed my plans and went to Okama.

I could have walked there from the Jizo summit station of the Zao ropeway, which I had visited the day before.

However, since I had to walk along the mountain path for quite some time, I gave up and decided to take the bus the next day.

According to information on the web, it was often impossible to see the swamp due to fog, but fortunately the day was clear and sunny.

I was able to take some pictures from the lookout, but when I tried to go closer, I found it very difficult to walk because of the rocks.

I wore sneakers, but I would recommend wearing trekking shoes if possible.

It is an active volcano and you never know when it might erupt, so I felt that comfortable walking shoes were very important to be able to evacuate quickly.

The view of the volcano from the water surface, as well as the colors of the surrounding strata, was very volcanic and fascinating.

But in fact, the water in the swamp is highly acidic. There is no telling when it might erupt. I was therefore reminded of the image of hell.

A beautiful hell.

Yes, beautiful and dangerous things, places and people, are better for you if you watch them from afar.

 

やはり黒かった夜のカマキリの眼 The eyes of the praying mantis at night, which was still black

夜帰宅したら玄関にまたカマキリがいた。以前見つけたのより身体の色が茶色い。

もしかしたら同じカマキリかと思ったが、変色はしないそうなので、違う個体のようだ。
 
それはともかく、三角の眼がすべて黒くなっていたので、思わずiPhoneで撮影。

暗くてなかなか焦点があわずボケているが、複眼全体が黒いことは分かると思う。
 
やはり夜になると、眼全体が黒くなるというのは、本当だったんだと感心した。

そして、これまで全く興味のなかった昆虫でも、写真や動画を撮ろうとする心構えがあれば、興味が出てくるものだなぁと、そのことにも感心している。
 
When I came home at night, I found another praying mantis at my front door. Its body was brownish in color compared to the one I had found before.

I thought it might be the same mantis, but I was told that it does not change color, so it seems to be a different individual.

Regardless, all of its triangular eyes had turned black, so I couldn't help but take a picture of it with my iPhone.

It was dark and hard to focus, so the picture is blurry, but you can see that the entire compound eye is black.

I was impressed by the fact that it is true that the entire eye turns black at night.

I am also impressed by the fact that even insects that I had no interest in before can become interesting to me if I am prepared to take pictures and videos of them.

お勧めの百万人テラス Recommended "Hyakumannin" million people terrace

今回の山形への旅のもう一つの目的は、蔵王の百万人テラスに行くことだった。

この場所に行ってみたくなったのは、吉永小百合さんが出ていたJR東日本の大人の休日倶楽部の CMを見たからだ。

蔵王ロープウェイに乗って行くが、さらに高い場所もあるので、まずはそこに行ってみた。

それが、巨大なお地蔵さんが鎮座する地蔵山頂駅。大きいのに赤い前掛けが可愛らしい。

近くにある地蔵山などにも登ってみたが、やはり一番気持ちが良かったのが、百万人テラスのソファだった。

ここに座り、徐々に白く薄くなって見えていく深い山々の稜線を見ているだけで、とても寛いだ気分になった。

とてもお勧めの場所である。

Another purpose of this trip to Yamagata was to visit the Hyakumannin Terrace in Zao.

I wanted to visit this place because I saw a commercial for JR East's Otona no Himitsu Club (Adult's Holiday Club) featuring Sayuri Yoshinaga.

I took the Zao Ropeway to get there, but there is also a higher place, so I went there first.

That is the Jizo summit station, where a huge Jizo-san sits. It is big but has a cute red front hanging.

We climbed the nearby Jizo Mountain and other places, but the most pleasant place was still the sofa on the Million Man Terrace.

Just sitting here and looking at the deep mountain ridges gradually fading to white made me feel very relaxed.

I highly recommend this place.

近寄れば銀杏たわわ霞城かな 80 When I approached at Kajo, there were ginkgo nuts.

山形駅にほど近い場所にあるのが、山形城跡の霞城公園。

ホテルの近くにあったので、朝一番に訪ねてみた。

天守閣などはなく、現在、本丸跡地で復元のための発掘調査などが行われていた。

そのため、中心部では立ち入り出来ないエリアが多い。

それでも、二ノ丸東大手門などは復元済みなので、お城気分を味わうことが出来た。

少し驚いたのが、もう銀杏の木に実がなっていたことだ。横浜に住む自分としては、いち早く秋を感じることが出来て得した気分だった。

Since it was near my hotel, I visited there first thing in the morning.

There was no castle tower, and excavations for its restoration were currently underway at the site of the castle's main citadel.

Nevertheless, the Ninomaru East Main Gate has already been restored, so we were able to enjoy the feeling of a castle.

What surprised me a little was that the ginkgo trees were already bearing nuts. As a resident of Yokohama, I felt lucky to be able to feel the autumn season as early as possible.
