護衛艦いずも F-35B戦闘機の整備は海自？それとも空自？ Destroyer Izumo F-35B Fighter Maintenance by JMSDF? or the JASDF?

横須賀地方総監部が実施している月に２回の潜水艦の一般公開。前回、急遽潜水艦の代わりに海自で一番大きな艦艇であるヘリコプター搭載護衛艦いずもになりましたが、今回もいずもでした。

そこで、私が少し気になっていたF-35B戦闘機を載せる場合に、整備はどっちの自衛隊が行うのかを聞いてみました。というのも、基地の配属は航空自衛隊になり、パイロットの訓練も当然ながら、空自が行うからです。

しかしながら、事実上、空母となるいずもで訓練する場合、どちらが整備を担うのかわかりませんでした。

隊員さんに伺ったところ、「まだ決まっていない」とのことでしたが、今後、どのように決まっていくのか、見守っていきたいと思います。

The Yokosuka Regional Admiralty conducts a bimonthly open house of its submarines. Last time, the submarine was suddenly replaced by the helicopter-carrying destroyer Izumo, the largest ship in the Maritime Self-Defense Force, and this time it was Izumo again.

So I asked which of the two Self-Defense Forces would be responsible for the maintenance of the F-35B fighter aircraft, which I had been a little curious about. The Air Self-Defense Force would be assigned to the base, and of course, the Air Self-Defense Force would conduct the training of the pilots.

However, when training on the Izumo, which is effectively an aircraft carrier, we did not know which of the two was responsible for maintenance.

When we asked a member of the team, he said, "It has not been decided yet," but we would like to keep an eye on how it will be decided.
