恐るべし住友生命Vitality Fearless Sumitomo Life Insurance Vitality

以前入っていた生命保険や医療保険、ガン保険を解約して、住友生命に一本化したのが、約1年半前。

その時に、アプリをインストールした。それが、このバイタリティーというアプリ。

健康診断のデータを送ったり、食生活や心の健康状態のチェックをするとポイントがもらえる。

そして、一番ポイントをもらえるのは、毎日の歩数。8000歩で20ポイント。10000歩で40ポイント。そして、12000歩で60ポイントだ。

さらに週の合計歩数が一定以上になると、スターバックスコーヒーの500円券やLAWSONのグリーンスムージーなどを貰える。

実は、私、これに振り回されて続けている。

別にスタバの券など欲しいわけではないが、何となく目標を達成できないと嫌なのだ。

だから、バスに乗りたいのをグッとこらえて、歩いたりする。

年間ポイントによって、次の年の保険料が安くなったりするが、住友生命にしてやられている気がする。

I don't really want a Starbucks coupon, but I don't like it when I don't meet my goal for some reason.

So, I hold back my desire to take the bus and walk.

I feel like I'm being cheated by Sumitomo Life Insurance, which offers me a discount on the next year's insurance premiums based on my annual points.

ニライビーチはプライベートビーチではありません Nirai Beach is not a private beach

沖縄読谷村にあるホテル日航アリビラ。その前に広がるのがニライビーチ。

アリビラのプライベートビーチなのかと思ったが、実はそうではなく宿泊客以外でも利用できる。

弓なりで遠浅なのは、天然であり、岩場もあったりと色々楽しめる。

夏に訪れたことがないので、混雑ぶりなどは分からないが、11月は人も少なく、ゆったりと過ごせた。

少し水が冷たいようだが、まだ海水浴も出来たし、ヤドカリなども沢山いる。

そして、なんといってもライフガードもいてくれるので、子連れの家族には本当に安心出来る。

読谷村に訪れたら、是非お勧めしたいビーチだ。

Hotel Nikko Alivila is located in Yomitan Village, Okinawa. Nirai Beach stretches in front of it.

I thought it was Alivila's private beach, but in fact, it is not.

It is a natural, bow-shaped, shallow beach with rocky shores that can be enjoyed in a variety of ways.

I have never visited in summer, so I don't know how crowded it is, but in November, there were few people and I was able to spend a relaxing time.

The water was a little cold, but you could still swim in the sea and there were many hermit crabs.

And, of course, there are lifeguards on duty, so families with children can feel very safe.

I highly recommend this beach when you visit Yomitan Village.

晩秋の昼ブラケットかけ寝落ち 90 Late autumn afternoon bracketing and falling asleep.

平日の昼休み１時間の過ごし方がほぼ決まっている。

通勤時に買っておいたサンドウィッチ１個、またはおにぎり１個とサラダを食べ歯磨き。この間15分。

その後、30分読書。最後の15分で昼寝。腕時計のアラームで目覚める。

少し寒くなってきたこの頃は、伸ばした脚にブラケットをかけていが、これがなんとも暖かくて気持ちがよい。

とても面白い本を読んでいれば、30分間読み続けるが、それほどでもない本の場合、大抵途中で寝落ちしている。

多分、脚を伸ばした体勢とブラケットが脳に「寝る準備が出来たよ」と語り掛けているに違いない。

だから、少なくともどこまで読んだか後で分かるように、ページごとにしおりを挟みながら読むようにしている。

I almost always spend an hour of my lunch break on weekdays.

I eat one sandwich or one rice ball and a salad that I bought on the way to work and brush my teeth. This takes 15 minutes.

After that, I read for 30 minutes. I take a nap in the last 15 minutes. I wake up to the alarm on my watch.

It's getting a little cold these days, so I put a bracket over my outstretched legs, which is nice and warm.

If I am reading a very interesting book, I continue reading for 30 minutes, but if the book is not so interesting, I usually fall asleep in the middle of the book.

Perhaps the position of my legs stretched out and the bracket must be telling my brain that I am ready for sleep.

So I try to read with a bookmark between each page so that I can at least see later how far I've read.

勝利の女神 微笑まず Goddess of victory, not smiling

残念ながら、コスタリカに負けてしまった。ドイツに勝ったこともあり、すっかり気分は常勝チームと思い込んでいたが、甘かった。

今回の試合はドイツ戦より危なげなかったので、余計にミスからの失点が悔しい。

明朝のスペイン対ドイツ戦がどうなるかによるが、やはり、簡単に勝利の女神は微笑んでくれない。

次戦も気が抜けない試合になりそうだ。それがワールドカップの面白さなのだろう。

Unfortunately, we lost to Costa Rica. Having beaten Germany, we thought we were an ever-victorious team, but we were naive.

This game was less dangerous than the one against Germany, so it was even more frustrating to concede a goal from a mistake.

It depends on how the match between Spain and Germany will turn out tomorrow morning, but as I thought, the goddess of victory does not smile on us easily.

The next game will also be a game that we cannot let our minds wander. That is the fun of the World Cup, isn't it?

動画編集にチャレンジ Video Editing Challenge

ずっと放りっぱなしにしておいた動画の編集にようやく着手することにした。

まずは、SONYのαアカデミーで教えてもらったAdobe premier rushという無料で使えるソフトをダウンロード。

さらに、Adobe社の公式サイトが配信するYouTube動画で基本的な使い方を学んだ。

そして、10月に行った伊豆大島の旅の編集を始めた。

友人と行った旅だったので、編集しなくても結構面白いのだが、さらに見やすくするために、不要な部分をカットしたりする。

また、さらに面白くするために、テロップも入れてみた。

ついでに音を消したり、音楽を入れたりもしてみた。

まだまだ完成にはならないが、お正月に友人達に配信するために、少し頑張ってみようという気になっている。

I finally decided to start editing a video that I had been neglecting for a long time.

First, I downloaded a free software called Adobe premier rush, which I learned about at SONY's Alpha Academy.

In addition, I learned how to use the software by watching YouTube videos provided by the official Adobe website.

Then, I started editing my trip to Izu Oshima in October.

It was a trip I took with a friend, so it was quite interesting without editing, but to make it even easier to watch, I cut out unnecessary parts.

To make it even more interesting, I also added some tickers.

I also added music and turned off the sound.

It's not quite finished yet, but I'm willing to try a little harder to distribute it to my friends at New Year's.

電飾を着るのもしごと枯欅89 Wearing electric lights is also a job for withered zelkova

横浜みなとみらいで「ヨコハマミライト2022～みらいを照らす、光のまち～」というイベントが開催されている。

写真はグランモール公園という横浜美術館の前の通りの夜景。

約50万球のＬＥＤライトを使っているが、太陽光や風力で発電されたグリーン電力を使っているので、環境に配慮したイルミネーションだそうだ。

なるほど、よい取組みだと思うし、とても綺麗なので、デートなどにはピッタリだと思う。

でも、こんなに沢山着けなければならないのだろうか？

なんだか、葉が落ち切った欅が可哀相になってしまった。

An event called "Yokohama Mirai Light 2022 - Illuminate Mirai, City of Light" is being held in Minato Mirai, Yokohama.

About 500,000 LED lights are used in the illumination, which is said to be environmentally friendly because it uses green power generated by solar and wind power.

サポーターの応援の賜物！ Thanks to the support of our supporters!

昨晩の日本代表戦は大興奮だった。前半の試合展開を見ている限りでは何点差をつけられて負けるかを心配していた。

ただ、日本人サポーターの応援がとても力強かったので、選手達の励みになるだろうと思っていた。

結果は、初めて人間が巨象を倒した時のような達成感。

私はテレビを一人で観戦したが、中にはスポーツバーや友人宅に集まって観戦した人もいたと思う。

でも、急激な円安の中、ドーハのスタジアムまで行ったサポーターが沢山いたことは、大きなアドバンテージだったと思う。

そうした熱心なサポーターは、普段から日本代表だけでなく、各選手や所属チームなどを有料チャンネルを観たり、実際にスタジアムに足を運んだりして応援しているのだろう。

つまり、お金も時間も犠牲にして日本代表チームを応援してくれている。

最近ではJリーグの試合さえも観なくなった自分でも、確かに飛び上がるほど嬉しかったが、声を枯らして応援した彼らがいたから、奇跡的な逆転劇に繋がったと私は思いたい。

そこで、ドーハまで行かれたサポーターの皆さんに対して、心から「おめでとう」と「ありがとう」と言いたい。

報道では日本のサポーターの試合後の清掃活動などが絶賛されているそうだ。

これについても、日本という国の品位を高めることにつながる行いだ。同じ日本人としてとても鼻が高い。

是非、彼らの力で次の巨象も倒せるよう世界一の応援をして欲しいと思う。

Even though I don't even watch J-League games anymore, I was so happy that I jumped up and down, but I would like to think that the miraculous comeback was made possible because of their cheering in hushed voices.

Therefore, I would like to say "Congratulations" and "Thank you" from the bottom of my heart to all the supporters who made the trip to Doha.

The press has praised the post-match cleanup activities of the Japanese supporters.

This is also something that will help raise the dignity of Japan as a country. As a fellow Japanese, I am very proud.

I hope that they will give the best support in the world so that the next giant elephant will also be defeated by their power.

何だかわからないもの something (that) one does not know what it is

沖縄の読谷村のニライビーチにあった桟橋の骨組みのようなもの。

桟橋にしては、床もなくしかも短い。砂浜なので釣りにも関係しそうもない。

何かのマリンアクティビティに関係するのかもしれないが、思いつかない。

いずれにして、長いビーチのアクセントにはなっている。

自分がものを知らなすぎるだけかもしれないが、世の中には、まだまだなんだかわからないものが沢山あることが分かった。

小雪の有明月見る飛蚊症 88 Light snowy Ariake moon viewing skittishness

昨日の朝、目に光がさしたり、モヤモヤしたものが飛んだりするようになったので、眼科に行った。

その結果、突発的な飛蚊症とのこと。白内障とか、網膜剥離とかではないので、当面はそのままでよいとの医師の診断に一安心したが、どうにもチラチラが気になる。

一晩寝た後に散歩の際見えたのが、まだ日の出前の有明月。

まだ辺りが暗いので、飛蚊症の症状も気にならずに、気持ちよくiPhoneで写真を撮った。

しかし、夜が完全に夜が明けるとやはり気になってくる。

飛蚊症の人にとっては、夜の間の方が気持ちが落ち着くということだろうか。

Yesterday morning, I went to the ophthalmologist because I started to see lights and fuzzy things flying in my eyes.

I wonder if it means that people with flying mosquitoes feel more comfortable during the night.

夕陽を撮れない Can't capture the sunset.

水平線に沈む夕陽を写真に撮りたいと待ち構えていたが、雲に隠れてしまった。

昨年のほぼ同じ時期にも、同じ読谷村からの夕陽を撮ろうとしたが、最後に雲に隠れてしまいダメだった。

もしかしたら、この時期のこの場所は、いつもそうなのかもしれない。

自然の写真を撮るには事前の準備が必要らしいので、行き当たりばったりでは、なかなかうまく行かない。

やはり、周到な準備と調査をしないとならないことを、夕陽に教わった。

「ぐるっとパス」はお得？ Is "The Gurutto Pass" a good deal?

今回、はじめてぐるっとパスを使ってみた。

東京で美術館に行くことが多い人なら知っていると思うが、2500円のパスで様々な美術館や博物館の入場料が無料になったり割引される。

でも、最初に使った日から2ヶ月間に限定される。

私の場合は、これまで10ヶ所の美術館に行き、6千円以上のお金を節約できた。

そうした意味では、今まで使わなかったのが勿体無かったと思うが、あえて、ここでメリットとデメリットを考えてみる。

まずはメリット

①普段なら行こうと思わない美術館に足を運ぶきっかけになる。(多分、これがぐるっとパス事務局の目論見だろう)

②お金を節約出来る。(勿論使う頻度にもよる)

次にデメリット

①メリットの裏返しだが、無理に美術館に行こうしてしまう。これは貧乏性の性格だからかもしれないが？

②時間と交通費は浪費しているかもしれない。

ということで、今後は、どうしても行きたい展示会がほぼ同時期に2〜3つくらいある場合、損得勘定をした上で、パスを使うかどうかを決めることにした。

でも、いざ買ってしまうと、貧乏性の性格が災いして、無理に行こうとしてしまいそうな気もしている。

「ゆるかわふうの世界」そごう美術館 "The World of Yurukawa Fuu" Sogo Art Museum

『世界初のオリジナル技法「光彫り」』

『これ、すべて光る立体彫刻です！』

『絵画でも彫刻でも映像でもない、新ジャンルのアート「光彫り」』

こんな気になる宣伝文句がチラシに記載されていたら、誰でも見たくなるだろう。

建築物の断熱材、スタイロフォームを彫り込んで描くもので、後ろからLED照明を当てる仕組み。

つまり白くなる部分は深く掘り込んでスタイロフォームが薄くなっている。

濃い部分は厚くなっている。つまり、ほとんど掘り込みがない。

確かに初めて見てとても感心した。黒木瞳さんなども訪れているようで、今後より有名になっていくアーティストだと思う。

写真撮影はOKだったので、数枚の作品をご紹介する。

I was indeed very impressed when I saw it for the first time. It seems that Hitomi Kuroki and others have also visited this place, and I think that this artist will become more famous in the future.

「アキラとあきら」"Akira and Akira"

この映画を私は気になっていた。そのため、まずは小説を読もうと思い、旅行の前日に上下巻を買った。

なんと奇遇なことに、翌日の沖縄へのフライト中に映画を観ることになってしまった。

予めJALのホームページでどんな映画を上映しているのかを調べておくべきだった。でもまあ、仕方ない。

映画は大会社の御曹司としてうまれたアキラと、父親の町工場が潰された経験を持つあきらが同じメガバンクに入行し、繰り広げられる物語。

（どちらがカタカナでどちらがひらがなをイメージしているのかは、分からないので、とりあえず上記のように記載した）

そして、池井戸潤原作の映画として、裏切らないストーリー展開だった。感動もした。

でもやっぱり小説を読んでから映画を観たかったかな？

This movie had been on my mind. Therefore, I decided to read the novel first and bought the upper and lower volumes the day before the trip.

What a coincidence, I ended up watching the movie during my flight to Okinawa the next day.

I should have checked the JAL website beforehand to see what movies were being shown. But oh well, what could I do?

The movie is about Akira, who was born as a sergeant of a big company, and Akira, who experienced the collapse of his father's factory in his hometown, and joined the same megabank.

(I am not sure which of the two images is in katakana and which is in hiragana, so I have listed them as above for now)

And as a movie based on Jun Ikeido's novel, the storyline did not betray me. I was also impressed.

But I still wish I had read the novel before watching the movie.

「沓が行く。」戌井昭人 "The Shoes Are Going" Akito Inui

なんとも言えず、ほっこりとする本だった。

BRUTUSという雑誌に連載していたものを再編集したもので、とにかく〇〇〇〇映えの逆の写真ばかりだ。

つまり、「カッコ悪い」「どうしょうもない」「汚い」「醜い」「だらしない」というようなことだ。

その写真をテーマごとに並べ、1ページに1枚掲載する。

そして、1枚ごとに、ヘンテコだったり、ウィットに富んだりしたショートエッセイを付け加えていくというスタイル。

これがなかなか面白い。こうした写真集というかエッセイ集を読んだことがなかったので、ある意味ではとても新鮮だ。

Each photo is followed by a short essay that is either wacky or witty.

This is quite interesting. I had never read such a collection of photographs or essays before, so in a way it was quite refreshing.

生きるムラサキオカヤドカリ Living Purple hermit crab

沖縄読谷村の海岸近くの歩道で見つけたムラサキオカヤドカリ。

実は、天然記念物に指定されている。それなのに、貝ではなくゴミの鉄筒を宿にしていた。
 
これを見てどう思っただろうか。

「可哀相、面白い、大丈夫？、人間社会の被害者、貝を探せないバカ、紫と銀が綺麗、どうせ一時の宿、生命力が強い」など様々な意見がありそうだ。
 
どの意見も正しいと思う。

いずれにしても彼は生きている。

I think all opinions are correct.

コザ十字路は私に任せて⁈ I'll take care of the Koza Crossroads⁈

勝連城跡への観光のため、路線バスの乗り換えでコザ十字路の4つのバス停を全て利用した。

その際、見つけたのがこの椅子。
何のためにあるのだろうか？　というのが、率直な感想。

どうもすれ違った人がその椅子の持ち主のようだ。

その人は、警察か警備員のような制服を着ていたが、仮免許練習中という看板を掲げた思いっきり飾り付けされた自転車も近くにあった。

そういう状況から、多分、地元の警察や市役所などから委託されているのではなさそうだ。

つまり、自ら進んで監視しているのだろう。

彼は、何のために監視役を務めているのかはわからない。しかし少なくとも、事故があった際の証人になることは間違いない。

I used all four bus stops on the Koza Crossroads to change bus routes to visit the ruins of Katsuren Castle.

Apparently, the person I passed was the owner of the chair.

He was wearing a uniform like a police or security guard, and there was also a decorated bicycle nearby with a sign saying that he was practicing for a provisional license.

From that situation, it seems that the person was probably not commissioned by the local police or city hall.

In other words, they are probably voluntarily monitoring the area.

We do not know for what purpose he is acting as a watchdog. But at the very least, he is sure to be a witness in the event of an accident.

DMMかりゆし水族館 DMM Kariyushi Aquarium

那覇空港に到着後、すぐに行きたかったが、フライトが遅れたので、帰る前に寄ることにした。

まるでディズニーランドのアトラクションを思わせるようなセットで、ジャングルの中を歩いている感じにもなる。

また、水槽の上や下を歩くとこも出来る。

さらに、動物をガラス越しで見ることも出来る。

特に素晴らしいのが、クラゲのコーナー。一種類しかないが、幻想的な魅せ方をしていて、とても絵になる。

学術的な要素を減らして極力アトラクション的にしている新らしい水族館であり、ついつい動画や写真を沢山撮りまくってしまった。

I wanted to go there right after arriving at Naha Airport, but my flight was delayed, so I decided to stop by before leaving.

The set up is reminiscent of a Disneyland attraction, and it also makes you feel like you are walking through a jungle.

You can also walk above and below the tank.

You can also see the animals through the glass.

The jellyfish corner is especially wonderful. There is only one type of jellyfish, but it is very picturesque and has a fantastic appeal.

The aquarium is a new type of aquarium that reduces academic elements and makes it as much of an attraction as possible, and I ended up taking a lot of videos and photos.

青と緑と勝連城 Blue and green and Katsuren Castle

以前から見たかった勝連城跡。沖縄の他の城跡と一緒に世界遺産にも指定されている。

読谷村のホテルから、タクシーと路線バス2本を乗り継いで行ったので、半日がかりなのに、見学は1時間弱だった。

まあ、レンタカーを利用しないと決めてしまったので、時間がかかろうとお金が少し多くなろうと、仕方ない。

かなり坂を登ってたどり着いた城跡は、昨年訪れた座気味城跡と同様、曲線の城壁。どこにも直線がないのが、かえって新鮮に感じる。

空の青さと城壁を支える緑のコントラストがとても爽やかだった。
それだけでも行った意味があった。

I have wanted to see the ruins of Katsuren Castle for a long time. Together with other castle ruins in Okinawa, it is designated as a World Heritage site.

I took a cab and two local buses from my hotel in Yomitan Village, so the visit took less than an hour even though it took half a day.

Well, we decided not to rent a car, so it didn't matter if it took longer or cost a little more money.

The ruins of the castle, which we reached after climbing a considerable slope, have curved walls just like the ruins of Zakushi Castle that we visited last year. The fact that there are no straight lines anywhere is rather refreshing.

The contrast between the blue of the sky and the green supporting the castle walls was refreshing.
That alone was worth the trip.

沖縄に来ているのに、雨でビーチにも行けない。

そのため、ホテル内をうろうろしていたら、面白そうなものを見つけた。

そして、出かける予定を変更して試してみた。

これは、バーチャルリアリティによるエクササイズマシーンである。

ずっとプランクの姿勢を保ちながら、体幹を使いながらそらをとぶような仕組み。

結構面白い。そして、汗もかく。
折角旅行に来たのに、雨でどこにも行けないつまらなさを、この機械で解消してもらった気がする。

VR exercise machine "IKAROS

You are in Okinawa, but it is raining and you can't go to the beach.

It is a virtual reality exercise machine.

It works by keeping you in a plank position the whole time and using your torso to fly through the air.

It is quite interesting. And it makes you sweat.
I feel like this machine has relieved me of the boredom of not being able to go anywhere because of the rain, even though I had come on a trip.

「アキラとあきら」"Akira and Akira"

映画が話題になっているのは知っていた。パートナーからその前に小説を読みたいとのことで、昨日買い込んでおいた。

ところが、沖縄へのフライトの際、はからずも、この映画を観ることになってしまった。

詳細は省くが確かに面白い。そして、涙も出てくるほど感動的でもある。

小説を読んでから観るのが良いのか、逆の方が良いのかは分からない。

でも、良い作品だということは変わりないと思う。

I knew the movie was a hot topic. My partner wanted to read the novel before that, so I bought it yesterday.

However, I was to watch the movie on my flight to Okinawa.

I won't go into details, but it is certainly interesting. And it is also very moving, even bringing tears to my eyes.

I don't know if it is better to read the novel before watching the movie or the other way around.

But I think it is still a good film.

「大森克己氏、佐内正史氏、奥山由之氏によるトークショー」東京都写真美術館 "Talk Show by Katsumi Omori, Masashi Sanai, and Yoshiyuki Okuyama," Tokyo Photographic Museum

「写真ができること、写真でできたこと」をテーマにした写真新世紀30年の軌跡展の関連イベント。

私自身、写真家のトークショーに参加したのは初めての経験であった。

そして、写真家という人たちは、かなりエキセントリックだというのが、素直な感想だった。

それと同時にかなり哲学的なことを言う人たちだとも感じた。

確かに「家」とつくような職業の人は総じてそうなのかもしれない。小説家、建築家、画家、評論家、思想家など、どれをとっても、飛びぬけている。

登壇した写真家さんに共通していたのが、写真新世紀で賞を受賞したことがきっかけとなって、仕事ができるようになったこと。

そして、シャッターを押すより、その後で写真を選ぶことの方が難しいということだった。

そうえば、蜷川実花の展示会でインタビューに答えていたときも同様のことを言っていた気がする。

ちゃんと写すのが、ままならない自分にっとては、「選ぶのが苦悩だ」と早く言えるようになりたいものだ。

Related event to the New Cosmos of Photography exhibition themed "What Photography Can Do, What Photography Has Done".

This was the first time for me to attend a talk show by photographers.

And my honest impression was that photographers are quite eccentric.

At the same time, I felt that they were quite philosophical.

It may be true that people who work in professions that are called "house" are generally like that. Novelists, architects, painters, critics, thinkers, etc. are all out of the ordinary.

One thing that all the photographers who took the stage had in common was that winning an award at the New Cosmos of Photography was the catalyst for their work.

And that it was more difficult to select photos afterwards than to press the shutter.

I think he said the same thing when he was interviewed at Mika Ninagawa's exhibition.

I wish I could say, "It's a struggle to choose" as soon as I can, since I am unable to take a proper picture of myself.

「写真新世紀30年の軌跡展」東京都写真美術館 "30 Years of the New Cosmos of Photography" Tokyo Photographic Museum

キャノンの文化支援プロジェクトとして1991年にスタートした新人写真家の発掘・育成・支援のため事業が「写真新世紀」。

昨年で30周年を迎えたので公募を終了したので、これまでの受賞者の作品から一般公募で選ばれた10名の受賞作品を展示している。

私自身、最近、写真に興味を持ち始めた素人なので、各作品を評価できるわけがない。
単純に好きか嫌いかという判断基準しか持ち合わせていない。

そんな中で、それぞれ個性的な写真や映像を見ていると、何を伝えたいのかが分かる作品が私は好きだと感じるようだ。

つまり分かりやすい作品ということなのだが、分かりやすいとはどういうことかと問われると、答えに窮する。分からない。

なんだか、こんがらがってきた。
お近くの方は「百聞は一見に如かず」なので、足を運ばれてみることをお勧めする。

The "New Cosmos of Photography" project was launched in 1991 as a cultural support project of Canon Inc. to discover, nurture, and support new photographers.

Last year marked the 30th anniversary of the program, so the open call for entries has ended, and the exhibition features the works of 10 award-winning photographers selected from the general public from among those who have received awards in the past.

As I myself am an amateur who has only recently become interested in photography, there is no way I can evaluate each work.
I have only the criteria of simply liking or disliking the work.

In such a situation, looking at each unique photo or video, I seem to feel that I like the works that I can understand what they are trying to convey.

In other words, I like works that are easy to understand, but when asked what I mean by easy to understand, I am at a loss for an answer. I don't know.

I'm getting a little confused.
If you are in the area, I recommend that you visit the exhibition, because seeing is believing.

「見るは触れる 日本の新進作家VOL.19 」東京都写真美術館 "Seeing is Touching: Emerging Japanese Artists VOL.19"Tokyo Photographic Museum

一昨日に続いて、東京都写真美術館（通称TOP）の展示会ネタ。

19回目となった新進の写真家展。私自身は始めて拝見したが、写真・映像メディアの新たな可能性を探ろうとする試みだと感じた。

「触れる」がテーマになってはいるものの、当然ながら触れることは許されない。それでも出展した５人の作品は、どれも個性的で、コンセプチュアルであった。

そして、写真家というより、写真を題材にしつつも、新たな分野のアートを創ろうとする意欲も感じた。

個人的には、チラシの表紙にもなっている多和田有希さんの波の写真が燃えて、空中を舞っている作品は、空間をうまく使っていて、完全に現代アートだった。

Continuing from the day before yesterday, here is a story about an exhibition at the Tokyo Photographic Museum.(a.k.a. TOP).

This is the 19th exhibition of emerging photographers. I myself saw it for the first time and felt that it was an attempt to explore new possibilities of photographic and visual media.

Although "touch" was the theme of the exhibition, of course it was not allowed to touch the works. Nevertheless, the works of the five exhibitors were all unique and conceptual.

I also sensed a willingness to create a new field of art, using photography as the subject matter, rather than the photographers themselves.

Personally, I found Yuki Tawada's photo of waves on fire and dancing in the air, which is also on the cover of the flyer, to be a perfect example of contemporary art that makes good use of space.

立冬の間デザートはもらい柿 87 Desserts during Ritto (the first day of winter) are received persimmons

親戚の庭になっていた柿を頂いた。私自身は特に柿は嫌いではなく、目の前に剥かれている柿があれば食べる。

しかし、パートナーは困っていた。その理由は、みかんと違って、割と早く柔らかくなってしまうこと。そうなると、とても皮を剥きにくいかららしい。

さらに、ジャムなどにするのも面倒だとのことで、結局、誰かもらってくれる人を探して配った。

それでも、当面、食後には、柿がデザートとして出てくることは覚悟し
ないとならない。

お酒が好きな私は、柿は肝臓によいと思い込んで、喜んで食べることにする。

I received persimmons from a relative's garden. I myself do not particularly dislike persimmons, and if there is a peeled persimmon in front of me, I eat it.

However, my partner was troubled. The reason is that, unlike oranges, persimmons soften rather quickly. When that happens, they are very difficult to peel.

「野口里佳 不思議な力」東京都写真美術館 "Rika Noguchi: Mysterious Power" Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography

今回、東京都写真美術館に行ったのは、この展示会を見るためだった。

そして、とてもわかりやすかったとも言える。

確かに「不思議な力」にクローズアップしていることがわかる。

さらに蜘蛛の糸に吊るされたイモムシなどの動画は、とても視点が興味深かった。

作品数は多くはなかったが、撮り方、視点などなどを学べるような素敵な展示会であった。

The reason I went to the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography this time was to see this exhibition.

And I can say that it was very easy to understand.

It certainly shows that the focus is on "mysterious power.

Furthermore, the videos of caterpillars hanging from spider threads, etc., were very interesting in their perspectives.

Although there were not many works, it was a wonderful exhibition where we could learn how to take pictures, what viewpoints to take, and so on.

「コレクション解体新書Ⅰ フジタが目黒にやって来た 」目黒区立美術館 "New Book of Collection Dismantling I: Fujita Comes to Meguro" Meguro Museum of Art, Tokyo

所蔵している藤田嗣治氏の作品を中心に、海外留学した日本人画家の作品などを展示している。

副題の「作品収集のあゆみ」とあるように、所蔵作品をどのような経緯で入手したかなどを詳しく紹介している。

いわば、美術館の舞台裏のことを暴露している試みがかえって新鮮だった。

公立の古い美術館なりに工夫している点もあり、興味深い作品も何点かあった。

今年は開館35周年とのことで、過去の図録を全て350円で販売していたので、3冊も買ってしまった。

帰りのバックは当然ながら、とても重たかったが、心は晴れやかで軽かった。

The exhibition focuses on works by Tsuguharu Fujita in the museum's collection, as well as works by Japanese artists who studied abroad.

As the subtitle "History of the Collection" indicates, the exhibition introduces in detail how the museum acquired the works in its collection.

It was refreshing to see an attempt to expose the behind-the-scenes activities of the museum, so to speak.

The museum has made some efforts in its own way as an old public museum, and some of the works were interesting.

This year was the museum's 35th anniversary, and all of the past catalogs were on sale for 350 yen, so I bought three copies.

My bag on the way home was, of course, very heavy, but my heart was clear and light.

「現代日本画 夜」郷さくら美術館 "Contemporary Japanese Painting at Night" Sato sakura Art Museum, Tokyo

「暗闇の中でこそ主役になる月や星のように、夜の魅力をいま一度見直してみませんか。」

という言葉に惹かれて、中目黒のこの美術館を始めて訪れてみた。

それほど大きな美術館ではないが、日本画の専門美術館という珍しさにも興味を持ったのも事実だ。

やはり、夜の表現だと色として、黒は勿論、青が多くなるとは思ったが、思いの外、白や赤も使われることに気がついた。

日本画については、院展という定期的に開催される展示会をたまに見てきたが、なかなか奥深そうな分野だと感じた機会になった。

"Why don't you take a new look at the charm of the night, like the moon and stars, which play a leading role only in the darkness?"

This was my first visit to this museum in Nakameguro.

It is not a very large museum, but I was interested in the fact that it is a rare museum specializing in Japanese-style paintings.

I expected that black and blue would be the most common colors used to represent night, but I also noticed that white and red were used unexpectedly.

I have occasionally seen Japanese-style paintings at the Inten exhibition, which is held regularly, but this was an opportunity for me to learn more about this field, which seems to be quite profound.

「川内倫子M/E」東京オペラシティアートギャラリー "Rinko Kawauchi M/E" Tokyo Opera City Art Gallery

MはMother。EはEarthを表しているらしい。「母なる大地」という意味になるご、同時にME私という意味も含まれているそうだ。

ギャラリーのホームページやチラシなどを見る限りでは、川内氏の作品は、柔らかな光のぼんやりした抽象的な作品が多い印象だった。

しかし、実際に訪れて見てみると、リアルな作品も沢山あり様々だった。

そうした点では、素人目には対象が広すぎてテーマに一貫性がないようにも思えた。

しかし、「球体の上　無限の連なり」というサブタイトルのとおり、地球上のダイナミックな火山、流氷だけでなく、身近な日常の生活や風景まで様々なものがつながっているという意図を感じた。

今回は写真だけでなく、動画も多く、それを見ているだけでも、川内氏の思いを感じることが出来た。

私自身の率直な感想は、どうしたらこんな素敵な写真が撮れるのかということ。

そして、動画のテーマはまだまだ沢山日常の中にあることを気付かされた。

これから写真や動画を習熟したい自分にとっては、とても良いタイミングで開催された展示会だった。

According to the gallery's website and flyers, I had the impression that many of Kawauchi's works were abstract with soft, hazy light.

However, when I actually visited the gallery, I found that there were many realistic works of various kinds.

In this respect, to the untrained eye, the subject matter seemed too broad and the themes inconsistent.

However, as the subtitle of the exhibition, "On the Sphere: An Infinite Series," suggests, I felt the intention of connecting not only the dynamic volcanoes and ice floes on the earth, but also various things in our daily lives and landscapes around us.

In this exhibition, there were not only photographs but also many moving images, and just by looking at them, I could feel Kawauchi's thoughts and feelings.

My own frank impression was how he could take such wonderful photos.

I also realized that there are still many themes for videos in our daily lives.

The exhibition was held at a very good time for me, who would like to learn photography and video from now on.

「武士道シックスティーン」誉田哲也 "Bushido Sixteen" Tetsuya HONDA

著者の作品はこれまで数冊読んだことがあった。
 しかしこの作品はミステリーでないとの評判。
結果は、期待した以上に面白かった。
 
主人公は、剣道「命」の16歳の女の子。つまり青春スポーツ小説である。

著者の人物設定はミステリーでも精緻であり、上手だが、この作品の登場人物は、極端なところが何しろ可笑しい。
 
主人公のストイックすぎるキャラクターは絶対にいないはずだが、なんとなく似た性格の人の顔を重ね合わせながら読んだ。

さらに、知り合いの剣道の達人と飲んだ時の話を思い出しつつ、舞台である横浜の地名やモデルと思われる学校もイメージしながら読み進めた。

ミステリー作家だと思っていた誉田哲也氏がこんなに面白い青春小説を書いていたこと自体驚いたとともに、次作も当然ながら読むことにした。

I had read several of the author's works before.

The result was more interesting than I expected.

The main character is a 16-year-old girl who into the kendo. In other words, it is a Youth sports novel.

The author's characterization is exquisite and skillful even in mysteries, but the characters in this work are funny in their extremes.

The main character should never be too stoic, but I read this book while superimposing the faces of people with somewhat similar personalities.

Furthermore, I read the book while recalling a story about drinking with a kendo master I knew, and imagining the names of places in Yokohama, where the story takes place, and the school that may have been the model for the story.

I was surprised to learn that Tetsuya Honda, whom I thought was a mystery writer, had written such an interesting Youth sports novel, and naturally I decided to read his next work as well.

フィリピンでまた台風被害 Another typhoon hits the Philippines

先週末の台風22号により、フィリピン全土で100名以上の方が亡くなるなど大きな被害があった。

特に南部のミンダナオ島で土砂崩れなどもあり、行方不明者が現時点で66名もいるそうだ。
 
実は、週末にオンライン英会話のフィリピン人の先生から、大きな被害があったことは聞いていたが、日本ではソウルのハロウィーンの事故もあったことためか、あまり大きなニュースになっていなかった。
 
フィリピンはここ最近、台風や火山の噴火など大きな災害が頻繁に発生している。私は、まだ一度しか行ったことがないが、私の気持ちの中では一番親密な国なので、とても心配である。
