立春と行ってもまだまだ寒い。しかし、どこかに春らしさが来ているのではないかと歩いていたら、なんと菜の花が咲いていた。

そうか、春の訪れだと思っていたら、実は本物ではなく、ノハラガラシという一年草だった。

少しがっくりきたが、そんな花があることを知っただけでも良かったと思うようにした。

そうした前向きな心持ちを持つことが春の訪れなのかもしれない。

最近、節分の豆は、そのまま外に投げてしまうと、鳥や狸などが寄ってくるし、家の中に撒いても、食べるには衛生的でないとのことで、袋入りになっている。

それでも、我が家のトイプードルは、「福はうち〜」の声とともに、投げられた豆の袋に飛びついた。

以前なら、豆ごと飲み込んでしまうので、他の家族が抱っこしていたが、袋になれば飲み込むことがないので安心である。

そして、自分が小さい頃は、恵方巻きなど全く食べたこともなかった。
なんでも関西が発祥だそうだが、最近は豆まきと恵方巻きがセットになっているようだ。

いずれにしても、色々な事情から少しずつ伝統文化も変わっていくのだろう。

朝の犬の散歩をしていて、東の空が朱色に染まっていることに気づいた。

そして、本来なら邪魔な木立が、葉っぱがないために、ちょうど影絵のようになっていることを綺麗だと感じた。

俳句に興味を持つようになってから、気づくようになった何気ない自然の変化や美しさに、少し感動した瞬間だった。

今日は旧元旦。仕事帰りに駅の改札口に近づくと、太鼓の音が聞こえてきた。改札口に入ると獅子が踊っていた。

「そうか、春節祭が始まったんだ」と思い、少しの間、太鼓の音と獅子舞踊りを楽しんだ。

コロナ禍でなければ、横浜中華街では大変な賑わいのはずだが、今年も厳しいだろう。

でも、意気消沈していられないという気概を感じた獅子舞だった。

初暦もうひと月とめくる我 11 I flipped through the new calendar, wondering if another month had passed.

この間、新しいカレンダーを掲げたと思ったが、もう一月経ってしまった。

本当に年々時が経つのを早く感じる。それはそのはずで、3歳の子供にとっては1年は人生の1/3。30歳なら1/30。60歳なら1/60なので、相対的に短く感じるようになるのだ。

だから、中学や高校の3年間というのは、仕事をし始めてからの3年間と違い、ものすごく濃い時間なのだ。

いずれにしても、若くても歳をとっていても1年の時間は本当は同じなので、出来るだけ、長く感じるように充実した生活を送りたい。

毎月恒例の墓参り。実は以前は恒例ではなく、気が向いたら時にだけしかお参りしていなかった。

昨年のお盆に久しぶりに墓参りに行ったら、雑草が墓石近くまで伸びていた。

父に申し訳ないと思う気持ちが生じたと共に、家族に良くない出来事があったのも、それが理由かと思ってしまった。

まあ、直接の因果関係はないにしても、墓を大事に守ることはやらないとならないと改心し、毎月の月末に墓参りに行くことにしている。

今年初めての墓参りを終えて、気分的にもホッとしながら、ゆっくりと珈琲を飲んだ。

そして、そのままそのカップをデッサンの題材にしてみた。

まだまだ、川柳もデッサンも自分自身、満足出来るほどになっていないが、「続けることが大事だ」と墓の中の父も言っていると思う。

しかし、朝日が当たっていて光っているのか、凍っているから光っているのか分からず、仕方なく恐る恐る小刻みに歩くしかなかった。
