「沓が行く。」戌井昭人 "The Shoes Are Going" Akito Inui [Impression]
なんとも言えず、ほっこりとする本だった。BRUTUSという雑誌に連載していたものを再編集したもので、とにかく〇〇〇〇映えの逆の写真ばかりだ。
つまり、「カッコ悪い」「どうしょうもない」「汚い」「醜い」「だらしない」というようなことだ。
その写真をテーマごとに並べ、1ページに1枚掲載する。
そして、1枚ごとに、ヘンテコだったり、ウィットに富んだりしたショートエッセイを付け加えていくというスタイル。
これがなかなか面白い。こうした写真集というかエッセイ集を読んだことがなかったので、ある意味ではとても新鮮だ。
It was an indescribably dusty book.
It is a re-edited version of a serialized article that appeared in a magazine called BRUTUS, and it is full of photographs that are the opposite of 〇〇〇〇look pretty good.
In other words, they are "uncool," "unimportant," "dirty," "ugly," and "sloppy.
The photos are arranged by theme, one per page.
Each photo is followed by a short essay that is either wacky or witty.
This is quite interesting. I had never read such a collection of photographs or essays before, so in a way it was quite refreshing.
