死刑制度廃止論は何故？ Why is the abolition of the death penalty system? [意見]
相模原市にある津久井やまゆり園で知的障害者を46人殺傷した被告に対し、地方裁判所の裁判官は、死刑判決を言い渡した。この判決に、私は全く異論はないし、この事件について、今意見をいうつもりはない。
今回は、事件よりも、死刑制度について、私の意見を述べたい。
実は、驚いたことに、日本弁護士連合会は、死刑制度廃止を求めている。そういえば、先日読んだホリエモンの本にも、死刑制度は廃止すべきだと書いてあった。
また、国連からも、「日本は死刑制度を廃止せよ」と言われているそうだ。
調べてみると、国際的には、廃止と事実上死刑を執行していない国が合わせて142ヶ国もある。OECD加盟国の中でも、国として廃止していないのは、米国、韓国、日本だけだそうだ。
さらにいえば、韓国は事実上、執行していないし、米国の25州でも、廃止等にしているそうだ。
ということで、日本は先進国のなかでも、完全に少数派なのだ。
弁護士会連合会のパンフレットをみると、廃止を求める理由は、3つあるという。
一つは、人間の尊厳のこと。次に、誤判や冤罪の可能性があること。そして最後に、人は更生する可能性がある、ということだ。
確かに人道的な理由でと私は思う。さらに、廃止論者は、死刑制度があっても、凶悪犯やテロリストが、犯行を止めることはなく、犯罪が減るわけではないとも、指摘している。
しかしながら、今回のやまゆり園事件の判決を聞いて、死刑反対という日本国民は、どのくらいいるのだろうか？
少なくとも私は、判決結果には納得しているし、死刑制度は必要だと思っている。
さらに言えば、死刑囚の執行をいつまでも先延ばしにする法務大臣はまともに仕事をしていないとさえ、思っている。
私は死刑が確定したら、その翌日にでも、執行すべきだと思うからだ。
その理由は、死刑囚を刑務所で死刑執行されるまで、何故、税金で面倒を見なければならないのか、理論より、感情が先走ってしまうからだ。
税金で食事を与え、公務員である刑務官が面倒をみる必要は全くないと私は思う。
だから、死刑制度廃止論者は、自前のお金で、囚人が死ぬまで、面倒をみるべきだ。
あまりに、不寛容な意見で、いい大人が情けないが、理屈でないので、仕方がない。
もし、国際的に、「日本は野蛮だ」と言われても、「廃止すべきでない」と言い張る国民が一人、ここにいる。(写真はイメージ画像:pixabay)

However, how many Japanese people are opposed to the death penalty after hearing the ruling of the Yamayurien case?
At least, I'm convinced of the ruling and believe that a death penalty is necessary.
Furthermore, the Minister of Justice, who postpones the execution of the death row indefinitely, does not even think he has a decent job.
I think that once the death penalty is confirmed, it should be executed the next day.
The reason is that emotions are ahead of the theory of why tax should be taken care of before a prisoner is executed in prison.
I don't think there is any need for a public servant prisoner to eat with taxes.
Therefore, abolitionists should take care of their own money until the prisoner dies.
It's too intolerant and a good adult is sorry, but it's irrational, so it can't be helped.

春の選抜甲子園大会も中止 Spring selection Koshien tournament also canceled [意見]
この報道には驚いた。そして、とても残念に思った。もともと、無観客試合という発表をしていたので、出場予定チームは、その気になって練習を続けていたはずだ。
しかし、一転して中止という発表だ。選手は勿論、学校関係者、卒業生、そして地元の応援団や全ての高校野球ファンの期待を裏切ったことになる。
政府が自粛の期間を延長したから、改めて判断したということだが、選手の健康かわ心配という理由は、理解に苦しむ。
むしろ、高野連としての体裁の方を気にしたように感じる。
高校生の場合は、出場出来る機会が本当に少ないので、何とか開催する方法は、なかったのだろうか？
例えば、甲子園以外での開催も含めて検討したのか。
と言っても、すでに決定してしまったことなので、次善の策として、選抜出場予定の高校は、夏の大会に出場出来る権利を与えるのが良いと思う。
試合数が増えたり、スポンサーの新聞社が異なるなどの諸問題はあるにしても、是非、検討してもらいたい。それも、新コロナウィルス問題が終息していればの話だが。(写真はイメージ画像:pixabay)

多分、学校を休みにすることにより、国民に予防を真剣にやってもらい、少しでも、拡大のスピードを遅くするのが狙いだろう。
さらに言えば、オリンピックまでには、なんとしてでも、終息させたい。
マスコミでは、卒業式が出来なくなるとか、期末試験が出来なくなるとかの報道が多いが、国民全体でさらに徹底して予防することで、世界から見た日本の信頼を取り戻すことが目的だと、報道してもらいたい。
