注意書きの効果？ The effect of the warning signs?

ここ最近、10月末から11月にかけて沖縄など、南の島に行っています。

今年は、かなり久しぶりに与論島。

最高気温は26℃前後で、終日半袖だけで過ごせます。少し冷たいけれど、海やプールにもなんとか入ることが出来ます。

10月だと台風発生の可能性がありますが、それさえなければ、旅行しやすいよいシーズンだと思っています。

那覇からプロペラ機で約40分のフライト。与論空港はこじんまりしていますが、観光気分を盛り上げてくれます。

そして、島の繁華街にあるスーパーにビールなどの買い出しにいくと、面白い注意書きが・・・

実は、フライト中、「注意書き」があるということは、そうした実態があるということだという記事を読みました。

つまり、「ごみを捨てるな」とあれば、ごみを路上に捨てる人がいる。

「痴漢に注意」とあれば、過去に痴漢事案が発生した、ということ。

この注意書きはとてもウイットに富んでいるので、面白いのですが、これを読む間、注意力が散漫になり、かえって汚くすることはないかと心配したのは、私だけでしょうか？

Recently, I have been visiting southern islands, including Okinawa, from the end of October to November.

This year, for the first time in quite a while, I am on Yoron island.

The flight from Naha takes about 40 minutes by propeller plane. Yoron Airport is small, but it makes you feel like a tourist.

And when I went to a supermarket in the downtown area of the island to buy beer and other things, I found an interesting note...

In fact, I read an article that said that the presence of a "warning sign" during the flight means that there is such a reality.

In other words, if there is a sign that says, "Don't throw garbage," there will be people who throw garbage on the street.

If it says "Beware of molesters," it means that there have been cases of molestation in the past.

The warning is very witty and amusing, but am I the only one who worried that while reading it, I might be distracted and make it dirtier?

川崎みなと祭り The Kawasaki Minato Festival

今回で50回目の開催となるのに、その存在すら知らなかった「川崎みなと祭り」。

それは、私自身、「港町は横浜」のイメージが強く、「川崎は工業地帯」と刷り込まれていたからかもしれません。

でも、当然ながら、川崎港もありますよね。
川崎駅から無料バスを出して参加者をピストン輸送できるのは、やはり市が全面的に実施しているからか？

私は、海上自衛隊や海上保安庁の船を見学するのが、目的でしたが、それ以外にもヘリコプターやはしご車、消防艇など川崎市消防の総力をあげて、盛り上げてくれていました。

さらに、音楽隊や舞台での演出、子供向けの生き物のブースから、リニアモーターカーまで、様々な事業者がブースをだしていました。

当然ながら、アルコールも含めて飲食の出店も充実しており、一日中過ごしても飽きない内容のお祭りでした。

来年はもっと早くに開催チラシをチェックして、川崎港のクルーズにもエントリーしようかと考えているところです。

The Kawasaki Minato Festival is being held for the 50th time, and yet I didn't even know it existed.

This may be because I myself had a strong image of "Yokohama as a port town," and Kawasaki was imprinted as an "industrial area.

But, of course, there is also the Port of Kawasaki.
Is it still possible for the city to provide free buses from Kawasaki Station to piston transport participants because the city is fully implementing the program?

My purpose was to see the JMSDF and Japan Coast Guard ships, but the Kawasaki City Fire Department also did all they could to make the event more exciting, with helicopters, ladder trucks, fire boats, etc.

In addition, there were booths by various businesses, from musical groups and stage performances, to booths with creatures for children, to linear motor cars.

Naturally, there was a full lineup of food and beverage stalls, including alcoholic beverages, making it a festival that one could spend all day at and never get tired of.

Next year, I am thinking of checking the event flyer earlier and entering a cruise at the Port of Kawasaki.

海上保安庁の測量船は何をするの？What do Japan Coast Guard survey ships do?

私は、海上保安庁の測量船とは何をする船かよく理解していませんでした。今回、一般公開の機会があり、乗船してみたところ、海図作成だけでない多くの役割があることが分かりました。

それは私によって、新鮮な驚きでした。特に、国の海域を主張するための調査など、海洋権益の確保につながる仕事、

さらに、地震や海底火山の噴火などによる海底等の影響調査、海洋汚染もしかりです。

つまり、民間測量会社は勿論のこと、他の機関ではできないことを担っていることを、知りました。

本当に自分が何も知らなかったということを知った、よい機会となりました。

I did not fully understand what a Japan Coast Guard survey ship does. When I had the opportunity to board one at an open ship, I found out that they have many roles other than just charting.

It was a fresh surprise to me. In particular, the work that leads to the securing of maritime interests, such as surveys to claim national waters,

And also, surveys of the effects of earthquakes and undersea volcanic eruptions on the seafloor, etc., as well as marine pollution.

In other words, I learned that they are responsible for things that other agencies, not to mention private surveying firms, cannot do.

It was a good opportunity for me to realize that I really didn't know anything.

「沈黙の艦隊」"The Silent Fleet"

邦画を映画館で観たのは、何年振りでしょう？久しぶりでした。

でも、この映画は是非観たかった。それは、最近気になってきている海上自衛隊、しかも潜水艦の映画だからです。

潜水艦の内部は国家機密なので、一般人は見ることができないので、仮に映画であってもイメージできる映像を見たかったのです。

細心の技術を駆使したリアルな映像はもとより、音楽、音響も素晴らしく、しかも俳優陣も個性豊かで、完成度が高いと感じました。

漫画が原作ですが、ストーリーも現代的です。軍事、政治、人間模様などが入り混じっていて、飽きさせない内容でした。

エンディングは、「続編も当然あるよ！」との示唆を感じる内容でした。

How many years has it been since I saw a Japanese movie in a movie theater? It had been a long time.
But I really wanted to see this movie. I wanted to see this movie because it is a movie about the Maritime Self-Defense Force, and submarines, which I have been interested in recently.

Since the inside of a submarine is a national secret, the public is not allowed to see it, so even if it was a movie, I wanted to see the images that I could visualize.

I felt that the film was highly accomplished, not only with realistic images using meticulous technology, but also with wonderful music and sound, as well as a cast of actors with rich personalities.

Although based on a comic book, the story is also very modern. Military, political, and human characters are mixed in the film, and I never got tired of the content.

The ending of the film suggested, "Of course there will be a sequel! The ending of the movie was a hint that there will be a sequel.

海上自衛隊 訓練支援艦くろべ 標的機が凄い！

海上自衛隊が一般公開したので、訓練支援艦くろべに乗ってみました。訓練支援とは何をするのかというと、標的を発射して、コントロールするということです。その標的を護衛艦がミサイルを発射して狙うための訓練ということでした。

なるほど、射撃訓練の円盤みたいなものかと思いましたが、実はこの標的機は一機１億円以上。それをどんどん撃ち落としていたら、かなり勿体ないなぁ～と思っていたら、自衛官曰く、「当たる直前に避けて、自分でパラシュートを開き、海に落ちると」のこと。

それを回収して、再整備して使いまわすそうです。確かにそうでもしないと勿体ないですよね。
乗艦して聞いてみたので、いろんなことが分かりました。

東京湾周遊特別クルーズで大感謝！ Tokyo Bay Ferry Cruises Give Big Thanks to Tokyo Bay

東京湾フェリー㈱が企画した「東京湾大感謝祭　東京湾周遊特別クルーズ」に参加しました。
 
「大感謝祭」というのは10月１日が「東京湾の日」に定められているためです。

ということで、久里浜～金谷間の40分ではなく、４時間の周遊で充実した内容でした。
 
イベントとしては、船上ライブ、フラショー、鍵盤ハモニカとピアノ演奏。
さらにチケット番号によるお楽しみ抽選会。
 
日本テレビのDASH村でおなじみの海洋環境専門家の木村尚先生のSDGｓの講義などもありました。
 
さらに、南房州の各市町や横須賀市の飲食屋台も出展していました。
ルートは、浦賀水道、第一海保、第二海保、海ほたるパーキングエリアや風の塔を通り、羽田空港Ｄ滑走路沖で折り返しました。
 
横浜ベイブリッジや観音崎なども海側から眺めることができ、とても新鮮でした。
一番驚いたことは浦賀水道は一日に約600隻もの船が往来していて大変混雑していること。そのために、標識があったり速度制限されたりしていることでした。
 
また、東京湾の環境、特にブルーカーボンのことを知ったことも収穫でした。
 
ミール・クーポン1000円分を含む乗車料金7000円はとてもリーズナブルだと感じました。

I participated in the "Tokyo Bay Thanks Festival: Special Cruise around Tokyo Bay" organized by Tokyo Bay Ferry Co.

There was also a lecture on SDGs by Dr. Hisashi Kimura, a marine environment specialist well known for his work on Nippon Television's DASH Village.
 
In addition, food and beverage stalls from various cities and towns in Minami-Boshu and Yokosuka City were also exhibited.
The route passed through Uraga Suido, Daiichi Kaiho, Daini Kaiho, Umihotaru parking area and Kaze no Toa, and turned around off the Haneda Airport D runway.
 
It was refreshing to see Yokohama Bay Bridge and Kannonzaki from the sea side.
The most surprising thing was that the Uraga Channel is very busy with about 600 ships coming and going each day. For this reason, there are signs and speed restrictions.
 
I also benefited from learning about the environment of Tokyo Bay, especially about blue carbon.
 
I felt that the 7,000 yen fare for the ride, including the 1,000 yen meal coupon, was very reasonable.

「日本画の女性は華奢なのに強そう？」 鏑木清方記念美術館 Japanese Painting: Women in Japanese Painting Look Slender but Strong? Kiyokata Kaburaki Memorial Museum of Art

鎌倉に行った時に、ちょっとだけ寄った日本画家の美術館。
実は、一度通り過ぎてしまったくらい、地域に溶け込んだ佇まいでした。
それもそのはずで、清方氏が晩年に住んでいた家なので、全く美術館らしくないからです。

今回は『「清方×文学」紅葉への憧憬、鏡花との友情』という特別展で、文学作品の押絵が多かったように感じました。

日本画の女性は誰が見ても華奢なイメージに描かれているのに、私自身は、何故かいつも描かれた女性の意思の強さを感じてしまうのです。

画家がそれを意識して描いていたのか、私の頭の中だけのことなのか？

This is a museum of Japanese-style painters that I briefly dropped by when I was in Kamakura.
In fact, it was so integrated into the local community that I passed by it once.
That's because it is the house where Kiyokata lived in his later years, so it doesn't look like an art museum at all.

This time, there was a special exhibition titled "Kiyokata x Literature: Yearning for Autumn Leaves and Friendship with Kyoka," and I felt that there were many push-paintings of literary works.

For some reason, I myself always feel the strength of will of the women depicted, even though women in Japanese paintings are depicted in a slender image in everyone's eyes.

Was the painter conscious of this, or is it just in my mind?

横浜海上防災基地は厳しい訓練の場でした The Yokohama Maritime Disaster Prevention Base was a rigorous training ground.

実は、私は海上防災基地とは何をするところか、知りませんでした。

しかし、今回訪ねてみて海上保安官の訓練の場でもあることがよくわかりました。
実際、深いプールがあったり、ヘリコプターの風の下で、しかも波の中で訓練できる巨大なプールもありました。

さらに、人を救助するためのザイルワークなども実演しているところを見ました。

海上保安官は、海の事故から、不審船への対応など様々な状況に遭遇するため、とても訓練の範囲が広くて大変な仕事だとよく理解できました。

However, after visiting the base this time, I realized that it is also a place for training of coast guard officers.
In fact, there were deep pools and a huge pool where they could train under the wind of a helicopter and in the waves.

Furthermore, I saw them demonstrate zile work and other skills for rescuing people.

I could clearly understand that being a coast guard officer is a very demanding job with a very wide scope of training, as they encounter a variety of situations, from accidents at sea to dealing with suspicious vessels.
