海上自衛隊 訓練支援艦くろべ 標的機が凄い！

海上自衛隊が一般公開したので、訓練支援艦くろべに乗ってみました。訓練支援とは何をするのかというと、標的を発射して、コントロールするということです。その標的を護衛艦がミサイルを発射して狙うための訓練ということでした。

なるほど、射撃訓練の円盤みたいなものかと思いましたが、実はこの標的機は一機１億円以上。それをどんどん撃ち落としていたら、かなり勿体ないなぁ～と思っていたら、自衛官曰く、「当たる直前に避けて、自分でパラシュートを開き、海に落ちると」のこと。

それを回収して、再整備して使いまわすそうです。確かにそうでもしないと勿体ないですよね。
乗艦して聞いてみたので、いろんなことが分かりました。

I see, I thought it was like a shooting training disc, but in fact, these target planes cost more than 100 million yen each. I thought it would be a waste if we kept shooting them down, but the Self-Defense official told us that we would avoid them just before they hit, open the parachute by ourselves, and fall into the sea.

He said he would retrieve it, recondition it, and use it all over again. It would certainly be a waste if they didn't do that.
Since I boarded the ship and asked him about it, I learned many things.
