サポーターの応援の賜物！ Thanks to the support of our supporters!

昨晩の日本代表戦は大興奮だった。前半の試合展開を見ている限りでは何点差をつけられて負けるかを心配していた。

ただ、日本人サポーターの応援がとても力強かったので、選手達の励みになるだろうと思っていた。

結果は、初めて人間が巨象を倒した時のような達成感。

私はテレビを一人で観戦したが、中にはスポーツバーや友人宅に集まって観戦した人もいたと思う。

でも、急激な円安の中、ドーハのスタジアムまで行ったサポーターが沢山いたことは、大きなアドバンテージだったと思う。

そうした熱心なサポーターは、普段から日本代表だけでなく、各選手や所属チームなどを有料チャンネルを観たり、実際にスタジアムに足を運んだりして応援しているのだろう。

つまり、お金も時間も犠牲にして日本代表チームを応援してくれている。

最近ではJリーグの試合さえも観なくなった自分でも、確かに飛び上がるほど嬉しかったが、声を枯らして応援した彼らがいたから、奇跡的な逆転劇に繋がったと私は思いたい。

そこで、ドーハまで行かれたサポーターの皆さんに対して、心から「おめでとう」と「ありがとう」と言いたい。

報道では日本のサポーターの試合後の清掃活動などが絶賛されているそうだ。

これについても、日本という国の品位を高めることにつながる行いだ。同じ日本人としてとても鼻が高い。

是非、彼らの力で次の巨象も倒せるよう世界一の応援をして欲しいと思う。

Last night's game against Japan was very exciting. As I watched the first half of the game unfold, I was worried about how many goals they would lose by.

However, I knew that the Japanese supporters' cheering was so powerful that it would encourage the players.

The result was a sense of accomplishment like the first time a human being defeated a giant elephant.

I watched the game alone on TV, but I think some people gathered in sports bars or at friends' houses to watch the game.

But I think it was a big advantage that there were many supporters who went to the stadium in Doha despite the sharp depreciation of the yen.

Such enthusiastic supporters probably watch pay TV channels and visit the stadiums to support not only the national team but also the players and their teams.

In other words, they sacrifice money and time to support the national team.

Even though I don't even watch J-League games anymore, I was so happy that I jumped up and down, but I would like to think that the miraculous comeback was made possible because of their cheering in hushed voices.

Therefore, I would like to say "Congratulations" and "Thank you" from the bottom of my heart to all the supporters who made the trip to Doha.

The press has praised the post-match cleanup activities of the Japanese supporters.

This is also something that will help raise the dignity of Japan as a country. As a fellow Japanese, I am very proud.

I hope that they will give the best support in the world so that the next giant elephant will also be defeated by their power.
