「旅と想像 創造」東京都庭園美術館 Travel and Imagination: Creation" Tokyo Metropolitan Teien Art Museum

東京都庭園美術館は、旧朝香宮邸である。その朝香宮夫妻が100年前に行った欧州旅行が、テーマとなっている。

さらに旅に関係するアーティストの作品なども展示されている。

あのファッション・デザイナーの高田賢三氏のバリへの旅行の記録や当時デザインした民族衣装に模した服などもあった。

少し散漫な企画のような気がしたが、色々な視点から旅に関する展示を考えていたことは、よく理解出来た。

残念だったのが、旧朝香宮邸の建物の撮影が殆ど制限されていて出来なかったことだ。

展示会によって、それが可能な時もあるらしいので、次に来るときは、予め調べてからいくことにする。

The Teien Art Museum is the former residence of Prince and Princess Asakamiya. The theme of the exhibition is a trip to Europe that Prince and Princess Asakamiya made 100 years ago.

The museum also exhibits works by artists related to the trip.

There is a record of fashion designer Kenzo Takada's trip to Bali, as well as a piece of clothing he designed at the time that was modeled after an ethnic costume.

I felt that the exhibition was a bit scattershot, but I could understand that they were thinking of exhibits related to travel from a variety of perspectives.

Unfortunately, we were not allowed to take pictures of the former Asakamiya Residence because the building was almost completely restricted.

I heard that it is sometimes possible depending on the exhibition, so next time I visit the museum, I will check it out beforehand.
