美しく危険な御釜 Beautiful and dangerous okama

折角、蔵王まで来たのに御釜に行かないのは勿体ないと思い、予定を変えて御釜に行った。
 
前日に訪れた蔵王ロープウエイの地蔵山頂駅からも歩いていくことも出来た。

しかし、山道をかなりの時間歩く必要があるので諦めて、翌日、バスで行くことにした。
 
webの情報では、霧で沼を見れないこともしばしばあると聞いていたが、運よく当日は快晴。

展望台からの写真は撮れたが、さらに近くまで行こうとすると、岩がゴロゴロしていて、とても歩きにくかった。

自分はスニーカーを履いていたが、出来ればトレッキングシューズを履いて行くことをお勧めする。
 
活火山で、いつ噴火するか分からないので、すぐに避難するためにも、歩きやすい靴はとても大事だと感じた。

そうした緊張の中で眺めた御釜は、水面だけでなく廻りの地層などの色合いも火山らしく、とても魅力的だ。

でも、実際、沼の水は強酸性である。いつ噴火するかもわからない。そんなことから、私は地獄のイメージとも重なった。

美しい地獄

そう、美しくて危険なものは、場所も人も、遠くから見ている方が身のためだ。

I thought it would be a shame not to go to Okama when I had come all the way to Zao, so I changed my plans and went to Okama.

I could have walked there from the Jizo summit station of the Zao ropeway, which I had visited the day before.

However, since I had to walk along the mountain path for quite some time, I gave up and decided to take the bus the next day.

According to information on the web, it was often impossible to see the swamp due to fog, but fortunately the day was clear and sunny.

I was able to take some pictures from the lookout, but when I tried to go closer, I found it very difficult to walk because of the rocks.

I wore sneakers, but I would recommend wearing trekking shoes if possible.

It is an active volcano and you never know when it might erupt, so I felt that comfortable walking shoes were very important to be able to evacuate quickly.

The view of the volcano from the water surface, as well as the colors of the surrounding strata, was very volcanic and fascinating.

But in fact, the water in the swamp is highly acidic. There is no telling when it might erupt. I was therefore reminded of the image of hell.

A beautiful hell.

Yes, beautiful and dangerous things, places and people, are better for you if you watch them from afar.
