おススメ！山形県郷土館「文翔館」Recommended! Yamagata Prefecture Folk Museum "Bunshoukan

山形市役所の近くにある郷土館は、大正（1916）5年に県庁舎及び県会議事堂として建設された英国近世復興様式のレンガ造りの国指定の重要文化財。
 
大正ロマンの建物に興味がある人にはお勧めできる。入館料はなんと無料であり、私は利用しなかったが、無料でガイドもしてもらえる。
 
当初、展示物などもあるのに無料にしている理由が分からなかったが、議事堂をコンサートホールとして貸したり、そのほかの部屋を会議室やギャラリーとして貸すことで収入を得ているようだ。
 
展示内容も充実しているが、個人的にはそれよりも建物自体に興味があるので、時間つぶしのため訪れたが、とても得をした気分となった。

Located near Yamagata City Hall, the Yamagata Prefectural Folk Museum was built in 1916 as a prefectural government building and prefectural assembly hall in the English Early Modern Revival style of brick construction, and is a nationally designated Important Cultural Property.

It is recommended for those interested in Taisho-romantic buildings. Admission is free, and although I did not take advantage of it, a free guided tour is also available.

At first, I did not understand why the museum was free of charge, even though there are exhibits, but it seems that the museum earns income by renting the Capitol building as a concert hall and other rooms as conference rooms and galleries.

I visited the museum to kill some time, but I felt like I got a lot out of it.
