霜降に濡れるスコリア裏砂漠 86 Scoria Back Desert Wet with Frostfall

伊豆大島には、日本で唯一、国土地理院が発行する地図で「砂漠」と表記される場所がある。

それが、この裏砂漠。「裏」は地名でもなく、裏社会的で少し怖い。

実際に訪れた裏砂漠は、確かにあまり足を踏み入れたくないような場所だった。

それは、黒い火山灰であるスコリアが暗く怖い雰囲気を醸し出していたからだ。

因みに、24節気の霜降(そうこう)は、読んで字の如く、霜が張る時期である。

訪れた時は、霜降りは見えなかったが、何となく、湿り気を感じたのは、「裏」だからだろうか？

Izu Oshima Island is the only place in Japan marked as "desert" on maps published by the Geographical Survey Institute.

This is the Ura Desert. Ura" is not even a place name, but an underworldly and a little scary.

The Ura-Desert that we actually visited was certainly a place that one would not want to set foot in.

This is because the black volcanic ash, scoria, created a dark and scary atmosphere.

By the way, the 24th solar term, "frostfall," is, as the Chinese character "so-kou" suggests, the time of frost.

When I visited there, I did not see any frost, but I somehow felt dampness, perhaps because it was "behind the scenes"?
