「日本の中のマネ」練馬区立美術館 "Manet in Japan" Nerima Art Museum

一言で言えば、マネは印象派のリーダー的な存在であるにも関わらず、日本にはマネの作品が少ない。

そこで、出来るだけ、日本にあるマネ作品を集めてみた。

また、マネに影響を受けた日本人画家の作品を紹介する。

さらに。現代において、マネをどう解釈しているかということを日本の美術家の作品を通して展示しているのが、この展示会。

正直なところ、練馬区立美術館がここまでやるのかと、その、頑張りを認めざるをえない内容だった。

確かにマネの作品はあまり見ることは出来ない。今回の展示でも油絵よりエッチングの作品などが多かった。

それでも、日本の画家達も触発されていることがよくわかり、とても良い企画だったと感じている。

ただ、森村泰昌氏の作品はいつ見ても作者へのオマージュではなく、パロディだと思うが、私だけだろうか？

Furthermore. How Manet is interpreted in the present age is exhibited through the works of Japanese artists.

Frankly speaking, I was surprised that the Nerima Art Museum could go this far, and I had to admit that they did a great job.

It is true that we do not get to see many of Manet's works. Even in this exhibition, there were more etchings than oil paintings.

Nevertheless, I felt that the exhibition was a very good one, as I could clearly see that Japanese painters were also inspired by Manet's work.

However, I always find Yasumasa Morimura's works to be parodies rather than homages to the artist, but is it just me?
