若者のワクチン接種 Youth vaccination [opinion]
ここ神奈川でも緊急事態宣言が今月末まで延長された。感染者数は減少傾向にあるが、病床利用率は50％を上回っているので、やむを得ない。
ただ、この減少傾向にあるのは、緊急事態宣言を続けているからだとは思えない。
ワクチンを接種する人が増えたので、感染しにくい、または感染していても症状が出ずに気づかないだけではないかと思う。
そうした意味で、まずは若い人たちにワクチン接種を促すことが大切だ。
ただ、彼らを確率論で説得するのは難しいと思う。どんなに少ない確率でも副作用によって死に至るケースがあれば、躊躇するのは仕方がない。
若い人は真偽のほどは定かでなくとも、SNSの発信を信用しており、マスコミ報道は本当のことや正確な事実などは出していないと思い込んでいると私は感じる。実際に私自身もそのような場合が度々ある。
つまり、どの会社が発信したかでなく、誰が発信したかで判断するのだ。
だから、影響力のある人は、感覚でなく、よくよくワクチン接種について、科学的な根拠などを調べた上で発信してほしいと思う。

However, I don't think the reason for this downward trend is that we continue to declare a state of emergency.
As the number of people receiving the vaccine has increased, I think it is difficult to get infected, or even if it is infected, it may not be noticeable without symptoms.
In that sense, it is important to encourage young people to get vaccinated.
However, I think it is difficult to persuade them with probability theory. There is no choice but to hesitate if there are cases of death due to side effects, no matter how small the probability.
I feel that young people trust the transmission of SNS, even if it is not as certain as the truth, and believe that the media reports do not reveal the truth or the exact facts. In fact, I myself often do that.
In other words, it is judged by who made the call, not which company made the call.
Therefore, I would like influential people to disseminate information about vaccination after examining the scientific basis, not just the senses.
