「大転換の時代」ジム・ロジャース "The Era of Rapid Change" Jim Rogers [Impression]
著者の前作「危機の時代」を読んだが、コロナウィルスの蔓延により、大きく転換する社会を、世界的な投資家として、どう見ているか、気になったので、読んでみた。
ただ、それほど言っていることが変わってはいなかったというのが、正直な感想であった。
前作とほぼ同じように、ロシアや中国が今後期待出来ること、アメリカやヨーロッパは勿論だが、日本も衰退することが語られている。
日本の産業では、あえて言えば、観光と農業に光があるという。
さらに、人口減少となる日本は、移民を受け入れるべきで、その際は、アメリカではなく、シンガポールから学ぶべきとも言っている。
確かに、人口が減る中で、労働力がなくなると、経済は活性化しないことはわかる。しかも、島国の日本人の意識は、事実上、鎖国と一緒なことも理解出来るので、悔しいが、当たっていると思った。
さらに、すんなりと納得出来る項目もあった。子供は世界を視野に入れて、育った環境とは違う場所に住むべきこと、物事を考える際に哲学を勉強することが大事だということなどだ。
出来れば自分も他の国に住んでみたいが、やはり収入が途絶えると、それも無理な話。若い頃に著者の本を読んでいれば、私の人生も変わったかもしれないが、すでに時は遅しというしかない。
いずれにしても、著者の言っていることは、頭の片隅に入れておいた方が良さそうだ。
