4年飛び級して14歳でハーバード大学に入り、18歳で卒業した女の子キャリー。
IQはとびきり高いけど、コミュニケーション能力が全くなく、友達も彼氏もいない。
その彼女が幸せになるように、父親の友人であるセラピストから指示されたTODOリストを一つずつ実行するという物語。
そのストーリーは、割と単純であり、ある程度予測出来てしまったが、主役の女優が、いかにもコミュニケーション下手らしい女の子を演じきっていたのが、微笑ましかった。
また、日本では診療所に行かなければお目にかかれないセラピストという専門家がいることも、ストレス社会のアメリカならではなのかと感じた。
そして、舞台はニューヨーク。行ったことがない私にとっては、クリスマスから年末にかけてのその街並みを観るだけでも十分に楽しめた。

Her IQ is exceptionally high, but she has no communication skills and no friends or boyfriend.
The story of running one by one the TODO list directed by her father's friend, the therapist, to make her happy.
The story was relatively simple and I could have predicted it to some extent, but it was funny that the leading actress played a girl who seemed to be poor at communication.
I also felt that the fact that there are specialists called therapists in Japan that you can't see unless you go to the clinic is unique to America, which is a stressful society.
And the stage is New York. For me, who has never been there, just watching the cityscape from Christmas to the end of the year was enough to enjoy.
