主人公の父親役のキウェテル・イジョフォー氏が、監督、脚本を手がけている。
ストーリーはとても簡単だが、アフリカの最貧国であるマラウイの大地や文化の映像はインパクトがあった。
そして、世界には本当に貧困に苦しんでいる国があること、そして、希望を失わずに勉強する意味を学ぶということで、日本全国の子供達に観てもらいたいと思った。
「そんなの買えばいいじゃない！」と言うような子供達ばかりだと、日本の将来は危ないが。

And I wanted children all over Japan to see it because there are countries in the world that are really suffering from poverty and to learn the meaning of studying without losing hope.
The future of Japan is dangerous if there are only children who say, "You should buy that!"
