最初は「八咫烏雨中を駆ける芒種かな」としたかった。雨と芒種を掛け合わせたかったからだ。

しかし、サッカー日本代表のマークを八咫烏と知らない人が読んでも何のことかわからないだろうと考え、「雨中」を諦めた。

そして、ハッキリとサッカーのことだと表現するために「蹴球を追う」としてみた。

さて、そのサッカー日本代表のブラジル戦。運もあり0対1で負けたが、
実力の差は確かにあった。

今回はブラジルも本気で戦ってくれたと思うので、以前より明らかに日本サッカーの実力は上がっていると感じた試合だった。

それでも、ワールドカップ予選を一時的な番狂わせではなく、着実に勝ち上がるには、もう一つ決定力というか、展開の想像力とシュートの精度が必要だと感じた。
