カーリング女子予選リーグ Curling Women's Qualifying League [Impression]
今回の冬季オリンピックで一番よく観ているのがカーリング。氷上のチェスと言われるように、とても考えさせられる。とは言え、頭脳プレイだけでなく、ストーンを押し出す技術、献身的なスイープなどは完全にアスリートの要素がある。そうした意味で見ていて面白い。
そう言えば、前回のオリンピックでもついつい見てしまったのが、このカーリングである。
しかも、デンマーク戦やROC戦などは最後の最後に大逆転劇だったので、思わず見とれてしまった。
そして、今回もこの競技をフォローしようと決めた。
しかし、そう決めてからの韓国戦や英国戦は、精度の差がはっきりと出ていて、残念ながら勝ち目がない感じがした。
予選リーグはあと2試合。米国とスイスという競合国相手なので、彼女たちには気持ちをリセットして頑張って欲しい。
やはり、前回大会以上の結果を求めてしまうのは、見ているだけの気楽な国民の性なのかもしれない。(写真はイメージ画像:pixabay)
