大変な東京都 Tokyo in a severe situation [essay]
久しぶりに都庁の近くを通った。
後で知ったが、COVID-19の感染者数がなんと1149人と、1000人の大台を超えていた。
こんな状況下で東京に来てしまったのは、とてもリスキーだった。
しかし、神奈川県でも361人もの感染者数となっており、首都圏では減っていない。だから、気にしていても仕方ない。
それより、東京都の場合は、オリンピックの開幕が迫っている。そのこともあり、立派に聳え立つこの都庁舎のオフィス内では、本当に職員がピリピリ、ドキドキしながら働いているのではないかと思う。
開幕までに、感染者数が減る傾向にならないと、全世界にどのような報道がされるのか、とても心配だ。
