墓参り Visiting the grave

お盆に墓参りに行った際、驚くほどケイトウの花が綺麗に咲いていた。それは備えてあるのではなく、雑草として。

春から夏にかけて、家族に次からつぎへと降りかかる問題があり、墓参りが後回しになっていたのだ。

これでは、先祖もさぞかし怒っているだろうと思い、それ以来、月に一度は墓参りに行くことにした。

以前、占い師の細木和子氏が、「墓を綺麗に保つことが、運を開く方法だ」と言っていたのを今更思い出している。

確かに自分が墓に収められるようになったら、「たまには、家族に来て欲しいなぁ」と思うだろう。

自家用車もないので、バスで乗り継いで来るのも時間がかかるが、継続していこうと思う。

I remember once again that fortune-teller Kazuko Hosoki said, "Keeping the grave clean is the way to open your luck."

I would certainly think, "Occasionally, I want my family to come" when I'm in the grave.

I don't have a private car, so it will take some time to transfer by bus, but I will continue.
