「旅だから出逢えた言葉」伊集院静 "Words I met because I was traveling" Shizuka Ijuin

私は著者のエッセイがとても好きだ。この本は、旅をテーマにしているので、さらに気になって読んでみた。

この本はクレジットカードのダイナースクラブの会員誌であるシグネチャーという冊子に連載されていたエッセイをベースに構成されている。

著者の取材や個人的な旅を通じて出逢った33の名言を紹介するエッセイ集である。

例えば、城山三郎氏の言葉で、「人が実際、その目で見たものに、真実はありますから」などだ。

どの名言も「なるほどなぁ〜」と納得する言葉ばかりであり、後でもう一度読んで噛み締めたいと感じた。

さらに、旅慣れた著者のコメントとして、私自身に刺さった言葉があった。それは「旅の目的はなるたけシンプルで、余裕のある時間の使い方をした方がよかろう」ということ。

世話しない旅をいつもしてきた自分にとって、丁度、次の旅の検討をしていたので、とても心に響いた。

そして、この本を読んだ後に私が行うと決めたことは2つある。

一つは著者が本の中で紹介していた名画がどんな作品なのかを調べること。出来ればリアルに見てみたいが、全ては叶わないと思う。

そして、もう一つがこの本の続編を読むことだ。

I like the author's essay very much. This book is about traveling, so I was more interested in reading it.

This book is based on an essay serialized in a booklet called Signature, a member magazine of the credit card Diners Club.

This is a collection of essays that introduces 33 quotes that I encountered through the author's interviews and personal trips.

For example, in the words of Saburo Shiroyama, "There is truth in what people actually see with their own eyes."

All the sayings were convincing, "I see," and I felt like reading them again later and biting them.

In addition, as a comment from the author who was accustomed to traveling, there was a word that stuck in me. That is, "The purpose of the trip is as simple as possible, and it is better to spend time with plenty of time."

For me, who has always traveled without taking care of me, I was just thinking about my next trip, which really touched my heart.

And after reading this book, there are two things I decided to do.

One is to find out what kind of masterpiece the author introduced in the book. I would like to see it realistically if possible, but I don't think everything will come true.

And the other is to read the sequel to this book.
