「終身教授録」森 信三 "Lifetime Professor Record" Nobuzo Mori

この本を私が選んだのは、プレジデントという冊子で、どなたか有名企業の社長が、人生で最良の本として紹介されていたのを覚えていたからだ。

著者は、哲学者で教育者でもあり、独自の日本的哲学とも言うべき「全一学」の創唱者。このことを平たく言うと「人生二度なし」教の祖師とも言えるそうだ。

この本は、著者が大阪天王寺師範学校(現・大阪教育大学)で昭和12年からの2年間、一年生と三年生に行った修身、つまり道徳の授業をそれぞれ筆記させた講義録である。

そのため、まだ18歳や20歳程度の教師の卵たちに対する内容である。しかしこれが実に奥深い。

副題の「現代に甦る人間学の要諦」は、まさに的を射た言葉で、時代や年代を超えて、現代に生きる中高年に対しても心に響く。

私にとっては、「捨欲即大欲」つまり、欲を捨てるとはどういうことか？というテーマのほか、「成形の功徳」「謙遜と卑屈」「最善観」という講義の内容が新しい発見となった。

特に、最善観とは、ライプニッツがとなえた「オプティミズム」のことだが、「我が身の上に起こる事柄は全て、絶対必然であると共に、またこの私にとっては、最善なはずだ。」という内容だった。

楽観主義というものを理解していなかった自分にとって、目の前にある困難を受け入れることが出来た内容だった。

531ページにも及ぶ厚い大作だが、どなたにもお勧め出来る本である。

The author is a philosopher, an educator, and the founder of "Zenichigaku," which can be called a unique Japanese philosophy. To put it plainly, it can be said that he is the founder of the "never twice in life" religion.

This book is a lecture record in which the author wrote a moral lesson for the first and third graders for two years from 1945 at Osaka Tennoji Normal School (currently Osaka University of Education).

Therefore, the content is still for teachers' eggs around the age of 18 or 20. However, this is really profound.

The subtitle, "The Essentials of Anthropology Revived in the Present," is a word that is just right, and it touches the hearts of middle-aged and older people who live in the present age, regardless of age or age.

For me, what does it mean to give up greed? In addition to the theme, the contents of the lectures "Merit of molding", "Humility and subservience", and "Best view" became new discoveries.

In particular, the best view is the "optimism" that Leibniz said, "everything that happens to me is absolutely inevitable, and it should be the best for me." ..

For me, who did not understand optimism, I was able to accept the difficulties in front of me.

It's a thick masterpiece with 531 pages, but it's a book that anyone can recommend.
