実は私、キックオフから数分間はしっかり起きていたが、ふと目を開けたらすでに2対0という驚きのスコアになっていた。

折角の決勝戦で大事な得点シーンを見逃すなんて・・・と、大後悔。

でも、このまま終わるはずはないと思っていた。案の定、後半に同点になった。

そして、延長に入り、追加点、また同点。「面白い！」とここで独り言がでた。

決勝戦というだけでなく、メッシとエムバペというパリＳＧのチームメイト同士の得点王争い。
キープレイヤーを早々に交代させるフランスの監督の采配など、見所は盛り沢山。

こんなに面白い決勝戦は近年見たこともなかった。

そして、世界で一番のスポーツであるサッカーの素晴らしさを感じた一夜だった。

ワールドカップが終わってしまい、今日から、少し寂しくなりそうだ。

ただ、睡眠時間だけはきちんと確保できるに違いない。
