「悪の処世術」佐藤勝 "Evil treatment" Masaru Sato

佐藤勝氏の本を続けて読んだ。ただし、内容は先日読んだ「還暦からの人生戦略」とは、全く異なる。

タイトルの「悪」という言葉を、「独裁者」に入れ替えれば、この本の全容をつかみやすい。

つまり、世界の中でも有名な独裁者11名に関する著者の見立てである。

その顔ぶれは、プーチン、習近平、ドナルド・トランプ、金正恩、シリアのアサド、アルバニアのエンベル・ホッジャ、ヒトラー、毛沢東、スターリン、カダフィ大佐、金日成である。

実は私、唯一、ホッジャという人物をよく知らなかった。しかし、著者は一番興味があるという。実で風変わりであり、しかも一貫して内政でも外政でもブレなかった人だという。

そのことを知れただけでも、この本を読んだ価値があったかも知れない。

そして、読後の私の感想は、独裁者達は、何も好きで大勢の人を粛清したわけではなくて、ある意味では、真面目に仕事に専念した結果だったことがわかった。

それが人道的には間違いであったとしても、理想の国家を作り上げようとして、しかも国民からは一定の支持があった強いリーダーであったことがよく分かった。

そして、共通するのは、かなり混乱の時代背景の中で出て来たリーダーであることだ。

多分、昔で言えば、織田信長などもこの部類に入るのかも知れないが。

いずれにしても、とても印象的なフレーズが2つあったので、引用したい。

『金日成は、スターリンと同じく、「普通の人々を幸せにするためには、人々から自由を取り上げてしまわなくてはならない」という「愛の思想」を持った独裁者なのである。』

Actually, I was the only one who didn't know much about Hoxha. However, the author is most interested. It is said that he is a person who is real and eccentric, and who has consistently been stable in both domestic and foreign affairs.

It may have been worth reading this book just to know that.

And my impression after reading was that the dictators did not like anything and purged a lot of people, but in a sense, it was the result of earnest devotion to their work.

Even if it was humanely wrong, it was well understood that he was a strong leader who tried to create an ideal nation and had a certain amount of support from the people.

And what they have in common is that they are leaders who have emerged in an era of considerable turmoil.

Perhaps, in the old days, Oda Nobunaga and others would fall into this category.

In any case, there were two very impressive phrases that I would like to quote.
