夏でも楽しめる偕楽園 Kairakuen Garden can be enjoyed even in summer

袋田の滝に行った帰りに水戸の偕楽園に寄りました。梅の名所として有名ですが、夏でも十分に楽しめることが分かりました。

というのも、徳川斉昭公が偕楽園を造った際、「陰と陽」ということを意識して設計に取り入れたからです。

実際、表門から入園すると最初に大杉林と孟宗竹林があります。ここは太陽光が届かないため、ひっそりとした静謐な空間でした。

そして、とても涼しくも感じ、まさに「陰」の空間だと感じました。

一方、好文亭から見る、美晴広場や庭、さらには千波湖などは明るく楽しい「陽」の空間です。

好文亭はそれ以外にも見どころがあり、喫茶コーナーでは、梅ソーダも頂きました。

多分、梅の季節である２月頃には絶対に注文しない飲み物でしょう。

そして、何より混雑していないことが一番のメリットで、ゆっくりと夏の偕楽園を楽しむことが出来ました。

On my way back from visiting the Fukuroda Falls, I stopped by Kairakuen Garden in Mito. It is famous for its ume plum blossoms, but I found it to be enjoyable even in summer.

This is because when Prince Nariaki Tokugawa built Kairakuen, he incorporated the concept of "yin and yang" into his design.

In fact, when you enter the garden through the front gate, you will first see a forest of large cedars and moso bamboo. Because sunlight could not reach this area, it was a quiet and tranquil space.

It also felt very cool and was truly a space of "shade.

On the other hand, Miharu Plaza, the garden, and Senba Lake, as seen from Kobun-tei, are bright and pleasant "yang" spaces.

Kobun-tei also has other attractions, and I had a plum soda at the coffee shop.

Probably a drink you would never order around February, the ume season.

And the best part is that it was not crowded, so we were able to enjoy Kairakuen in summer at a leisurely pace.

袋田温泉「滝味の宿 豊年万作」Fukuroda Onsen "Taki Aji no Yado Toyonen Mansaku

袋田の滝を訪れるために宿泊しました。滝から徒歩５分の距離にある落ち着いた宿です。

３階建てで大規模に見えますが、15室しかありません。そのため、混雑している感じがなく静かです。

１階にレストランがあり、３階には大浴場と露天風呂があります。露天風呂はとても気持ち良かったです。

部屋は、ほとんど同じ和室10畳のタイプです。変わっているのが、掘りごたつとオットマン付きのチェアがあることです。

ペットボトルの水がサービスでついていました。

夕食は地元の食材を使った、フランス料理のようなとてもお洒落な盛り付けのものばかりでした。

しかし、どうしても思い出せないのは、利酒セットのせいです。
1000円で3種類の地元の日本酒を飲み比べることが出来ますが、とても量が多く、すぐに酔いが回ったためです。

朝食も充実していて、特に自家製豆腐が良かったです。焼き魚は川魚ではなく、何故か鰯でした。

宿泊代はお酒などを除くと、一人当たり17300円でした。スタッフも気さくで心地よい対応をしてくれました。

袋田の滝や月居山ハイキングなどが目的であれば、お勧めの宿です。

We stayed here to visit the Fukuroda Falls. It is a serene inn located a 5-minute walk from the waterfall.

It looks large with three floors, but there are only 15 rooms. Therefore, it is quiet without feeling crowded.

There is a restaurant on the first floor and a large public bath and outdoor hot spring on the third floor. The outdoor baths were very nice.

The rooms are almost the same type of Japanese-style room, 10 tatami mats. What is unusual is that there is a sunken kotatsu and a chair with an ottoman.

Bottled water was included as a service.

Dinner was all local ingredients and very stylishly arranged, like French cuisine.

However, what I can't help but remember is the sake set.
For 1,000 yen, you could compare three different kinds of local sake, but it was a very large amount, and I quickly became intoxicated.

The breakfast was also excellent, especially the homemade tofu. The grilled fish was not river fish but sardines for some reason.

The cost of our stay was 17300 yen per person, excluding alcohol, etc. The staff was friendly and pleasant.

If you are planning to visit Fukuroda Falls or hike Mount Tsukii, I recommend this inn.

「袋田の滝」で涼んで下さい！Cool off at Fukuroda falls!

今日、横浜はとても暑いです。32℃とのことですが、それ以上に感じます。

ということで、少し清涼感のある場所の紹介です。

茨城県大子町にある「袋田の滝」です。

凄い滝。こんなの見たことがない！
というのが、本音でした。

実は、パートナーから「行ったことがあるはずだよ」と言われていたので、そのような気でいましたが、違います。

私は割と最近のことでも、忘れてしまっていることが多いので、自信を持って、過去のことに、反論できないのが辛いのですが、今回だけは、「初めて見た」と言えます。

それほど衝撃的でした。

(因みに、念のため言っておきますが、若年性認知症などではないはずです。多分・・・？)

高さ120メートル幅73メートル。4段でしかも水量があるので、迫力があります。

また、そこに行くためには、観瀑トンネルというヒンヤリとしたところを300円払って通る必要があります。

さらに、エレベーターに乗って高い展望台から見ると、また違った風景の滝が見えます。

そのほかにも、「恋人の聖地」のモニュメントや吊り橋などもあり、見どころがある滝でした。

滝壺に近づけないので、マイナスイオンをあまり感じませんでしたが、夏は少し涼しく感じると思います。

日本三名瀑と呼ばれていることに、納得です。

Cool off at Fukuroda Falls, one of the three most famous waterfalls in Japan!

It is very hot in Yokohama today, 32 degrees Celsius, but it feels much hotter than that.

It is the Fukuroda Falls in the town of Ogo, Ibaraki Prefecture.

An amazing waterfall. I have never seen anything like it!
That was the true feeling.

In fact, my partner had told me that I should have been there before, and I thought I had, but no.

I often forget things, even rather recent things, so it is hard for me to confidently refute things from the past, but for once, I can say that I had never seen it before.

It was that shocking.

(By the way, just for the record, I am sure that I do not have juvenile dementia. Maybe...?)

It is 120 meters high and 73 meters wide, with four tiers and a lot of water, so it is very powerful.

Also, to get there, you have to pay 300 yen to go through a hinny place called "Kanfaku Tunnel".

In addition, you can see a different view of the waterfall from the high observatory by taking the elevator.

In addition, there is a monument to the "Lover's Sanctuary" and a suspension bridge, making it a waterfall with much to see.

Since you cannot get close to the waterfall basin, I did not feel many negative ions, but I think it feels a little cooler in summer.

I was convinced that this is one of the three most famous waterfalls in Japan.

魅力を保ち続ける山下公園に！Yamashita Park continues to maintain its charm!

昭和世代の人に対して、「横浜で一番有名な公園は？」と聞けば、必ず答えにあがるのが、この山下公園。

関東大震災の瓦礫を埋め立てて、昭和5年に開園して以来、横浜の代名詞にもなっていたのではないでしょうか。

最近では、みなとみらい地区が出来たこともあり、古い場所のイメージもあるかもしれません。

しかし、近くのマリンタワーがリニューアルされたことや、この春にも新たに「The Wharf HOUSE」という足湯もあるカフェレストランが公園内に開店したこともあり、再び脚光を浴びていると感じています。

昭和5年建造で同じ年である「氷川丸」が接岸しているのは、多くの人がご存じでしょう。

先日、私も数十年ぶりに乗船して動画を取る中で、改めて山下公園が活気づいていることを認識しました。

令和世代の人にも「横浜の公園と言えば、山下公園！」と答えてもらえるよう、魅力を保ち続けて欲しいです。

歴史の荒波に耐えた「氷川丸」The "Hikawa Maru" withstood the stormy seas of history

横浜港の山下公園に係留された博物館船。この公園を訪れたことがある方は、一度はその美しい後姿を見たことがあるはずです。

数十年前に、私が乗船した際は、ビアガーデンとして利用しただけで、実はこれまで、きちんと内部を見学したことがありませんでした。

最近、船に関する動画を撮るようになったため、ようやくその氷川丸を訪れてみました。そうするとやはり、知らなかったことが沢山あります。

喜劇王チャップリンや秩父宮殿下、妃殿下などが乗船したこと。

さらに戦争中は病院船として活躍したこと。その後、日本兵や在外邦人の引揚にも使われていたことなどです。

また、機雷に３回も接触するも、厚い鉄板で作られていたから、沈没を免れていたことも知りました。

1960年の引退後には、山下公園に係留され、水族館となったり、いろいろな変遷を経たこと。

そして、海上に係留されている船舶として、初めて国の重要文化財に指定されたことも、今回分かりました。

実は、恥ずかしながら、公園側から見る姿が後ろ側だということも、今回認識した次第です。

やはり百聞は一見に如かず。現地に足を運んで、きちんと見てみることが大事だと痛感しました。

A museum ship moored in Yamashita Park at the Port of Yokohama. If you have ever visited this park, you must have seen its beautiful back view at least once.

Decades ago, when I boarded the ship, I only used it as a beer garden; in fact, I had never properly toured its interior until now.

Recently, I started taking videos about ships, so I finally visited the Hikawa Maru. I found many things I didn't know about it.

I learned that the King of Comedy Chaplin, His Imperial Highness Prince Chichibu, and Her Imperial Highness Princess Chichibu were on board. Furthermore, the ship was used as a hospital ship during the war.

After that, it was also used for repatriation of Japanese soldiers and Japanese residents abroad.

I also learned that the ship came in contact with mines three times, but was able to avoid sinking because it was made of thick steel plates.

After her retirement in 1960, she was moored in Yamashita Park, where she became an aquarium and went through many other changes.

I also learned that she was the first ship moored at sea to be designated a National Important Cultural Property.

In fact, I am embarrassed to say that I now realize that the ship is seen from the back from the park side.

Seeing is believing. I keenly felt that it is important to visit the site and take a proper look.

意外に充実！ ヴェルニー公園 Surprisingly substantial! Verney Park

旧横須賀製鉄所の建設指導などで日本の近代化を支援したフランス人技師レオンス・ヴェルニー氏に因んだフランス式花壇などがある公園です。

YOKOSUKA軍港めぐりの乗り場手前にあったため、ついでに訪れましたが、約1300本の薔薇やヴェルニー記念館、ティボディエ邸など無料なのに見どころ満載の公園でした。

海沿いであるため、気持ちのよいデッキもあり、お洒落なイタリアンレストランも今年１月にオープンするなど充実の都市公園です。

さらに、戦艦陸奥の大砲が展示されていたり、海軍の碑のほか、軍艦長門や山城などの記念碑なども多数あり、軍港横須賀らしい風景も楽しめました。

This park has French-style flowerbeds and other features associated with Léonce Verney, a French engineer who helped modernize Japan by guiding the construction of the former Yokosuka Steel Works.

I visited the park on the way to the Yokosuka Military cruise stop, but it was full of attractions even though it is free of charge, such as approximately 1,300 roses, the Verny Memorial Museum, and the Thibodier Residence.

The park is located by the sea, so there is a comfortable deck, and a stylish Italian restaurant opened in January this year.

YOKOSUKA軍港めぐり YOKOSUKA Military Cruise

知り合いから「横須賀で日米の戦艦を見れるクルーズが、最近人気らしいよ。」という話を聞き、早速調べたところ、確かにそうらしいことが分かりました。

そこで、早速、日曜日に予約をとり行ってみたのが、この「YOKOSUKA軍港めぐり」です。

少し前に記念館三笠の動画を撮ったこともあり、「戦艦」というキーワードに反応してしまったようです。

また、海軍と海上自衛他の戦艦を一度に海側から見れるのは、日本でここだけ」という謳い文句にも、私は惹かれました。

実際に、乗船場所に行ってみると、出航30分前にも関わらず長蛇の列。皆さん、良い席をゲットしようと早くから並んでいたようです。

私は、とりあえず、２階にあがり左側の後ろの席を確保しましたが、後で考えてみると、右側前の席が一番、写真や動画を撮るには最適だと感じました。

戦艦のことなどに詳しくなくても、ガイドさんの詳しく興味深い説明が「へ～！そうなんだ？」「初めて知った！」ということが多くて十分に楽しめました。

船を降りた後には、隣にあるヴェルニー公園やどぶ板通りの散策も楽しみました。

なかなか良いショートトリップでした。

I heard from an acquaintance that "a cruise to see the battleships of Japan and the U.S. in Yokosuka is very popular these days. I immediately checked it out and found out that it is indeed so.

So, I immediately made a reservation for the "Yokosuka Military Cruise" on Sunday.

I had taken a video of the Mikasa Memorial Ship a while ago, so I guess I reacted to the keyword "battleship.

I was also attracted by the claim that "this is the only place in Japan where you can see both naval and maritime self-defense battleships from the sea side at once.

In fact, when I went to the boarding area, I found a long line even though it was 30 minutes before the departure. It seemed that everyone had lined up early to get a good seat.

I went up to the second floor and secured a seat in the back on the left side, but later I realized that a seat in the front on the right side would be the best for taking pictures and videos.

Even if you are not familiar with battleships, the guide's detailed and interesting explanations were very interesting and made me think, "Oh, Really? I had never heard of that before!" I enjoyed the tour very much.

After getting off the ship, I enjoyed strolling around the adjacent Verney Park and Dobuita Street.

It was quite a nice short trip.

向日葵と紫陽花 Sunflower and hydrangea

出勤時に向日葵が咲いているのに気づきました。

これまで紫陽花ばかりに気を取られていたので、少し驚きました。

でも、それは梅雨は紫陽花、夏は向日葵という私の勝手な思い込み。

考えてみれば、季節はつながっているので、驚くことでもないはずでした。

気温が30℃を超える日も出てきており、梅雨明けはしていなくても徐々に夏に向かっています。

明るくて開放的なのは良いのですが、毎年少しづつ憂鬱な季節になっています。

横浜にぎわい座「三遊亭白鳥独演会」Yokohama Nigiwai-za "Sanyutei Hakucho Solo Rakugo"

週末は失意のどん底にいました。１週間かけて編集した動画が、最後の最後にすべて消えてしまったからです。

それもアップする予定の5時を大幅にオーバーした夜８時。

これまで１週間の地道な作業はなんだったのか、とがっくり来ました。

まあ、仕事でもないし、怪我をしたわけでもないし、誰かに迷惑をかけたわけでもないので、気にしなければいいのですが。

ということで、日曜日には久しぶりに落語を聞きに行きました。横浜にぎわい座の三遊亭白鳥さんの独演会です。

白鳥さんは「ガラスの仮面」という少女漫画が大好きなようで、その物語を「落語の仮面」という創作落語としてシリーズ化しています。

ということで、「ガラスの仮面」を読んだことがないと、面白さが分からないとご本人も言っていました。

私は読んだことがありませんでしたが、十分に笑えました。そして、失意のどん底からも救われました。

どんな問題も笑い飛ばせてしまうようになるのが一番だと悟った次第です。

So on Sunday, I went to hear Rakugo for the first time in a while. It was a solo performance by Sanyutei Hakucho at Yokohama Nigiwai-za.

Hakucho seems to love a girls' manga called "The Mask of Glass," and has made a series of creative rakugo stories based on the story called "The Mask of Rakugo.

Therefore, he himself said that if you have not read "The Glass Mask", you would not understand the fun of the story.

I had never read it, but it was funny enough. And it also saved me from disappointment.

I realized that the best thing to do is to be able to laugh at any problem.

でも、多くの観光客が「ごめんなさい」と言いながら、脳天を写真に撮られていたのは、本当です。

実際にはこんもりとした丸い地形が綾に織りなす「まり」に似ていることからその名が付いたと言われています。

とにかくまわりに遮るものがないため、眺めが良く、奄美十景にもなっています。

展望台も素晴らしいですが、男子トイレは特に素晴らしい設計でした。

秀吉と家康が小田原攻めの際に、石垣山城から連れ小便をした気分を合法的に味わうことが出来るかもしれません？

奄美大島紬村で分かる大島紬の凄さ The greatness of Oshima silk which can be understood at Amami Oshima Tsumugi Mura

ここは３種類の楽しみ方があります。

１つは観光庭園。奄美大島の植物などを知ることができます。広い敷地内には、奄美大島ならではの植物が沢山あり、それをスタッフが丁寧に説明してくれます。

２つ目は、大島紬の製造工程の見学。デザインから糸づくり、紡ぐ過程などを実際に職人さんが作業している現場を見ることができます。

勿論スタッフが説明してくれるので、どれほど細かく熟練の作業であるか、その凄さをよく理解できました。

糸を作るだけでも手間と時間をかけていることが分かります。当然ながら、大島紬が高い理由も納得できました。

そして、最後は泥染め体験です。ハンカチやＴシャツなどを縛って模様をつけ、泥の中にいれて染めることが出来ます。

縛っている時は、まったく出来上がりのイメージが出来ませんが、意外に綺麗な模様になるのが、楽しいです。

本当は大島紬の着付け体験が出来れば、女性は楽しいでしょうが、ここではもう実施していないそうです。

There are three ways to enjoy this place.

The second is a tour of the production process of Oshima silk. You can see the actual process of design, yarn making, and spinning by the craftsmen.

Of course, the staff explained the process to us, so we could understand how detailed and skilled the work is and how amazing it is.

You can tell that a lot of time and effort goes into just making the threads. Naturally, I could understand why Oshima silk is so expensive.

Finally, there was the mud-dyeing experience. Handkerchiefs and T-shirts are tied and dyed in mud.

When tying them up, it was hard to imagine what the finished product would look like, but it was fun to see how beautiful the patterns turned out.

It would be fun for women to try on Oshima tsumugi silk, but it is no longer offered here.

奄美大島の観光スポットの一つであるハートロック。赤尾木地区東海岸、通称ビラビーチにあります。

ここには、近くにある大島紬村から歩いて向かいました。白砂のとても綺麗なビーチの一画に磯場があり、そこにハート型をした潮だまりがあります。
 
干潮時しか見ることが出来ないことで、人気の観光スポットになっています。

つまり、訪れる日の干潮時間を調べてからでないと行く意味がない場所とも言えます。
 
全国にもハート形をした自然の地形、石垣の石、湖の形などがあります。
 
ハート形が人気があるのは、愛の象徴だからですが、同じトランプのマークであるスペードやクラブ、ダイヤなどはあまり観光スポットになっていないような気がします。

今後の旅をする中で、何とかそれらの形を探し出し、ハートに次ぐ有名観光スポットにするために、一役買おうかと思っていますが、誰も見向きもしないですかね？
 

Heart Rock is one of the sightseeing spots on Amami Oshima. It is located on the east coast of the Akaogi district, commonly known as Villa Beach.

We walked to this place from the nearby Oshima Tsumugi Village. There is a rocky beach on one side of the beautiful white sand beach, where there is a heart-shaped tide pool.

It is a popular tourist spot because it can only be seen at low tide.

In other words, it is not worth visiting unless you check the time of low tide on the day you visit.

There are also natural landforms in the shape of hearts, stone walls, and lakes throughout the country.

The heart shape is popular because it is a symbol of love, but the same playing card symbols, such as spades, clubs, and diamonds, seem to be less popular tourist attractions.

In my future travels, I would like to somehow find those shapes and play a part in making them the second most famous tourist attractions after the heart, but I wonder if anyone will even look at them?
 

奄美大島のバス旅、いとをかし Bus trip to Amami Oshima, charming

約3年前に車を手放してから、基本的に旅行でも、公共交通機関を利用しています。

ただ、今回は奄美大島ということもあり、当初はレンタカーでの移動を考えていたのです。

ただ、今更スタンスを変えるのも癪な気がして、あえてバス移動にこだわることにしました。

「つまらないこだわりなんて捨てればいいのに？」という声が聞こえてきそうです。

「確かにその通り！」私が若い頃なら絶対にしない効率の悪い旅です。

でも、一定の制約条件があるのも、「いとをかし」と感じてます。

バス旅だと行ける観光スポットは限らますし、時間も無駄になります。

失敗も多くて、ダメダメの旅行となります。

それも含めて、面白いと思うことにしています。

どうしても見たかった場所に行けなかったなら、「まあ、次にもう一回行けばいいや」と考えれば、焦ることはないと思います。

それより、最近は、こんなふうにブログを書いたり、旅行記を書いたり、さらには動画として残したりしているので、一度の旅で2回も3回も楽しめているのがとても嬉しい。

こうなったら、とことんバス旅にこだわってみようかと思い始めています。

Since giving up my car about three years ago, I have basically used public transportation, even when traveling.

However, this time, since it was Amami Oshima Island, I had initially planned to rent a car.

However, I felt it would be too much to change my stance now, so I decided to stick to bus transportation.

Why don't you just give up your boring obsession? I can hear some of you saying, "Why don't you just give up your boring obsession?

"That's exactly right!" It is an inefficient journey that I would never have made when I was younger.

But I also feel that it is "funny" to have certain restrictions.

With bus travel, there are only a limited number of sights you can go to, and time is wasted.

It is a bad trip with many mistakes.

I think of it as an interesting experience.

If I fail to visit a place I really wanted to see, I think I will not be in a hurry if I think, "Well, I can go again the next time.

More importantly, I am very happy that I am able to enjoy a trip two or three times in one trip, since I have recently been writing blogs, travelogues, and even leaving them as videos like this.

I am beginning to think that if this happens, I should stick to bus trips as much as possible.

黒潮の森マングローブパーク Kuroshio Forest Mangrove Park

ここは、広大な土地でパークゴルフやカヌー体験ができます。展望台もあるので、マングローブを上から眺めることも出来ます。

私は、カヌー体験とセグウェイ体験を行いました。カヌーは約1時間で2000円とリーズナブル。おだやかな川をスイスイと漕いで進むカヌーを楽しめました。

また、中州に上陸してインストラクターからマングローブの詳しい話も聞けます。

さらに、セグウェイも初体験。１時間で5000円です。最初の30分で乗り方の練習をして、その後の30分は園内を走れます。途中、奄美の植物などの説明もあり、十分に満喫できました。

そして、何より驚いたことは、レストランです。こうした観光地のレストランは期待外れのことが多いのですが、ここのマグロ丼はとても美味しく、しかもモズクの天ぷらなどもついて、とても得した気分になりました。

And what surprised me the most was the restaurant. Restaurants in such tourist spots are often disappointing, but the tuna bowl here was very tasty, and with mozuku tempura and other dishes, I felt like I had gotten a lot for my money.

最初に行くべき奄美パーク Amami Park to go first

奄美大島に行く際に、一番最初に訪れることをお勧めするのが、ここ奄美パークです。

空港からバスで5分ですので、当然レンタカーでもすぐです。

ここを最初に見るべきというのは、3つの理由があるからです。

一つは、「奄美の郷」です。ここでは、奄美の文化、歴史、自然のことを実物大の模型展示や映像で紹介しているからです。

かなりリアルな人形は見ていて微笑ましくも思います。

次の理由は、田中一村記念美術館です。
私自身、田中一村という画家を知りませんでしたが、奄美では知らない人がいないくらいの人です。

実際、色々なところに彼の作品が飾られています。

最後の理由は、展望台と植物です。
高いところから風景を眺めるというのは、旅にはつきものですし、奄美の植物などを観察することも出来ます。

When you visit Amami Oshima, the first place I recommend you to visit is Amami Park.

It is a 5 minute bus ride from the airport, and of course it is also a short drive by rental car.

There are three reasons why you should see this place first.

The next reason is the Tanaka Isson Memorial Museum of Art.

The last reason is the observatory and the plants.
It is a common part of traveling to view the scenery from high places and to observe Amami's flora and fauna.

帆船日本丸の歴史 History of the Sailing Ship Nippon Maru

横浜のランドマークと言えば、文字通り、横浜ランドマークタワー。

そのランドマークに花を添えるように、ひときわ華やかに係留されているのが、初代の帆船日本丸です。

先日、その日本丸の帆が張られる訓練、「総帆展帆」が行われることを知り写真と動画を撮影するために行ってみました。

ところが、29枚すべての帆が張られるはずが、一番下の帆が張られず、見栄えは今一つでした。

風が強かったからなのか、訓練のボランティアスタッフが足りなかったからなのか、理由は分かりません。

そして、今回、華やかさの中に、暗い歴史もあることが分かりました。

太平洋戦争中には、帆の装備を外され、しかも船体は鼠色に塗られ、瀬戸内海で石炭を運んでいたそうです。

また、戦後は、各地に残された日本兵の遺骨や引揚者の運搬に使われたそうです。そんなことを知らなかった私は少し衝撃を受けました。

それでも54年間で11500名もの船員を育てたことは大きな実績です。

そんな船を保存する際に、全国10都市の中から、ここ港町横浜が選ばれた理由の一つに、市民84万人の署名があったことも知り、とても誇らしく思いました。

Yokohama's landmark is, quite literally, the Yokohama Landmark Tower.

The first generation Sailing Ship Nippon Maru is moored in the Landmark Tower, and is a gorgeous addition to the landmark.

The other day, I went to see the "full-sail exhibition," a training session in which the sails of the ship are hoisted, in order to take photos and videos of the event.

I went to the site to take photos and video, but the bottom sail was not hoisted, and it didn't look good.

I don't know if it was because of the strong wind or the lack of volunteer staff for the training.

During the Pacific War, the ship was stripped of its sails and painted a rat-colored hull as it carried coal in the Seto Inland Sea.

After the war, she was used to collect the remains of Japanese soldiers left behind in various places and to transport repatriates. I was a little shocked, as I had never heard of such a thing.

Still, it is a great achievement to have trained 11,500 seafarers in 54 years.

I was very proud to learn that the signatures of 840,000 citizens were one of the reasons why the port city of Yokohama was chosen out of 10 cities in Japan to preserve such a ship.

柳原良平アートミュージアム Ryohei Yanagihara Art Museum

みなとみらい地区の横浜みなと博物館内にある美術館です。

柳原良平氏については、昭和40年代よりも前に生まれた方ならご存知だと思います。

あのトリスウイスキーのCMなどのイラストを描いていた人です。

そして、柳原氏は1964（昭39）年に横浜に移り住んで以来、横浜と深く関りがあったことでも知られています。

あのユーモラスで明るいタッチの絵を見ようと、横浜みなと博物館が昨年6月にリニューアルオープンして以来、「いつか行こう！」と思っていましたが、身近な場所はついつい後回しになっていました。

しかし、ついにその「いつか」が訪れました。

実は、隣の帆船日本丸の帆を張る訓練、「総帆展帆（そうはんてんぱん）」が行われることを知ったので、その動画を撮りに行ったのが、メインの目的でした。
（動画は後日アップロードする予定です）

つまり、ついでの用事だったのですが、発見もありました。

あのアンクルトリスのイメージだけだったのですが、思いのほか船の絵が多いこと、そして油絵を描いていたことです。

やはり、百聞は一見に如かず。出向いてみるもんですね、何でも。

This museum is located in the Yokohama Minato Museum in the Minato Mirai district.

If you were born before the 1960s, you are probably familiar with Mr. Ryohei Yanagihara.

He is the man who drew the illustrations for the Tris whiskey
commercials.

He is also known for his deep connection with Yokohama since he moved there in 1964.

Ever since the Yokohama Minato Museum reopened last June, I have been thinking, "I'll go there someday! I had been thinking "Someday I'll visit there," but I kept putting it off because it was so close to my home.

However, that "someday" finally came.

Actually, my main purpose was to go there to take a video of the "Sohan Tenpan," a training session for setting the sails of the neighboring sailing ship Nippon Maru, as I learned that it was being held. (The video will be uploaded at a later date.)

In other words, it was just a side errand, but I also made a discovery.

I only had an image of that Uncle Tris, but there were more paintings of ships than I had expected, and I also discovered that he painted in oil.

After all, seeing is believing. You have to visit everything.

鉄道の相互乗り入れは良いこと？ Is crossrail service a good thing?

首都圏では10年前に比べて鉄道会社の相互乗り入れが進んでいます。

このことについて、私は手放しに良いことだと思っていました。

それは、乗り換えが少なくなり、しかも早く目的地に行けるからです。

さらに、普段見ることがない他の会社の車両に乗って、デザインの違いや広告を見るのも面白いものです。

私が良く乗るローカル線の相鉄でも最近、東急線との相互乗り入れが出来るようになり、横浜駅を経由せずに、直接東京方面に行くことができるようになりました。

しかし、実は、以前よりも多い確率で遅れが発生しています。

また、先日は東急線・みなとみらい線の横浜駅で、ホームに人が溢れすぎて一部のエスカレーターを閉鎖する事態が発生しました。

唯一動いているエスカレーターに乗り、ホームに降りたら、人が溜まっていて、もう少しで将棋倒しの大事故になりそうな状態でした。

相鉄線の遅れや今回の横浜駅で起きたその原因は、他の路線で人身事故が起きたり、車両故障が発生して、ダイヤが乱れたからです。

それは、考えてみれば当たり前のことです。路線が長くなればなるほどリスクは多くなります。

もう一つ付け加えると、スマートフォンのアプリがないと、どの電車に乗るのが良いのかが、判断できなくなりました。

実は、先日も家人が新宿に行こうとして一本早い電車に乗ったところ、違うルートを走っているのに気が付き、慌てて途中駅で降りて軌道修正したそうです。

そんな負の側面を考えもしなかった自分もかなり能天気な人間ですが、もう速さや便利さを追求し続けなくてもいいのでは？と思い始めた今日この頃です。

In the Tokyo metropolitan area, rail companies are interconnecting with each other more frequently than they did a decade ago.

I thought this was a good thing to let go of.

I thought it was a good thing because it meant fewer transfers and also got me to my destination faster.

Plus, it is interesting to get on another company's train and see the different designs and advertisements that you don't normally see.

Recently, Sotetsu, a local train line I often take, has started interchange service with Tokyu Line, which allows me to go directly to Tokyo without going through Yokohama Station.

However, in fact, delays are occurring at a greater rate than before.

Also, recently, Yokohama Station on the Tokyu and Minatomirai Lines had to close some escalators due to overflow of people on the platform.

When I got on the only escalator that was working and went down to the platform, I found that people were piling up and it almost caused a major accident with a chessboard.

The delay on the Sotetsu line and its cause that occurred at Yokohama station this time was due to a personal injury accident or a train breakdown on another line, which disrupted the schedule.

That is a matter of course when you think about it. The longer the line, the greater the risk.

To add one more thing, without smart phone apps, it is no longer possible to determine which train is the best one to take.

As a matter of fact, the other day my family member got on a train one train earlier to go to Shinjuku, only to find that it was taking a different route, and he hurriedly got off at a station on the way to correct his course.

I am a rather optimistic person who did not think of such a negative aspect, but I am beginning to think that we do not need to continue pursuing speed and convenience anymore. I am beginning to think that we don't have to keep pursuing speed and convenience.

伝泊 The Beachfront MIJORA Den-paku The Beachfront MIJORA

ゴールデンウィークに奄美大島に行きました。まだ全体の旅行記を書けていないのですが、最後に宿泊したホテルがユニークだったので、そこだけを取り出してみました。

伝泊は、この地域で古民家などを改修して宿泊施設にしている奄美イノベーション株式会社が手掛ける新設のホテルです。

赤木名湾に面しており、直接ビーチに行けるロケーションです。

それぞれ独立した単独の平屋のヴィラで、とても静かでした。

インフィニティプールや海を見ながら食事が出来るレストランなど、設計にもこだわりがあります。

地元の建築家、山下保博氏がオーナーだからかもしれません。

少し高めの料金設定でしたが、とても満足しました。

奄美大島は沖縄本島より観光客も少ないようで、どのビーチも全て空いていて綺麗ですので、お勧めの離島です。

I went to Amami Oshima Island during Golden Week. I have not written the whole trip report yet, but I took out only the hotel where I stayed at the end because it was unique.

Denmari is a newly built hotel by Amami Innovation Corporation, which renovates old private houses and other buildings in the area and turns them into lodging facilities.

It is located facing Akagina Bay and has direct access to the beach.

Each of the villas is a stand-alone, single-story villa, and very quiet.

They are well designed with an infinity pool and a restaurant where you can dine with a view of the ocean.

Perhaps it is because they are owned by a local architect.

The price was a little high, but we were very satisfied.

Amami Oshima Island seems to have fewer tourists than the main island of Okinawa, and all the beaches are empty and clean, so I would recommend this remote island.

「マティス展」と「憧憬の地ブルターニュ」のダブルヘッダー Double header of "Matisse" and "Brittany, the Land of Longing

久しぶりに、美術館のダブルヘッダーを実施しました。

一つは東京都美術館で開催されている「マティス展」。

こちらは、コロナ禍で実施していた日時指定が続いており、予めWEBで予約しておきました。

一方、国立西洋美術館で開催している「ブルターニュ」展は、5月8日以降、日時指定が不要となっており、当日でも構わないとのこと。

必然的に、「マティス展」を先に見ることになりました。東京都と国立との違いなのか、スタンスの違いに少し戸惑いました。

「マティス展」は、一人の画家に焦点を当てているため、若い時から円熟期までの作品の推移が分かり、画家の試行錯誤や苦労がわかり、面白く感じました。

一方の「ブルターニュ展」は場所に焦点を当てているので、様々な画家の作品が展示されていました。これは収蔵作品が沢山ある国立西洋美術館だからこそできるのかもしれません。

風景画、特に印象派が好きな自分にとっては、すでに見たこともある作品が多く、マティス展ほどのインパクトはなかったのが、残念でした。

東京都美術館では、無料で大学生や専門学校生が入館できる日だったため、とても混雑していました。その流れで西洋美術館に来た学生も多かったように感じます。

厚さ3センチもある図録を２つも買って帰ったので、とても重かったですが、心は軽々として帰路につきました。

For the first time in a while, I had a double-header at museums.

Inevitably, I had to see the "Matisse" exhibition first. I was a little puzzled by the difference in stance, perhaps because of the difference between the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the National Museum of Art.

The "Matisse Exhibition" focused on a single artist, so I was able to see the transition of his works from his youth to his maturity, and I found it interesting to learn about the artist's trials and tribulations.

The "Brittany" exhibition, on the other hand, focused on a place, so there were works by a variety of painters on display.

This may be possible only because the National Museum of Western Art has many works in its collection.

As a lover of landscapes, especially impressionism, I was disappointed that many of the works I had already seen before did not have the same impact as the Matisse exhibition.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum was very crowded because it was a free admission day for university and vocational school students.

I feel that many students came to the Museum of Western Art through this process.

I bought two 3 cm thick catalogs, which were very heavy, but I went home with a light heart.

世界三大記念艦「三笠」 The Mikasa, one of the world's three most famous memorial ships

横須賀に行く用事があったので、ついでに三笠公園に行ってみました。ここに記念艦「三笠」があることは承知していたのですが、これまで乗艦することはありませんでした。

今回、予め少し時間があったので、日露戦争の勉強も兼ねて、またついでに動画撮影も兼ねて、初めて乗ってみました。

初めて乗ってみて知ったことは、実は紆余曲折があってようやくこの三笠公園で保存されることになったこと。

さらに有名な日本海海戦での攻防などです。日本が世界最強と言われたバルチック艦隊に勝てたのは、砲弾の的中率がロシアの三倍だったことが大きいようでした。

もちろん、バルチック艦隊は長旅で疲れていたことや、日本という極東の小国を見くびっていたことだとわかりました。

開国して５０年の日本がこの海戦で勝ったこと、さらには日露戦争に勝ったことが、その後のアジア諸国の励みになったことや、日本が結果的に植民地にならずに独立を保てたことにつながったようです。

そして、それが記念艦として保存され、世界三大記念艦となったのでしょう。

多くの兵士の命の犠牲があり、そしてそれでも勝たないとならないという使命の上に、国が成り立っていることを改めて認識するよい機会でした。

一方で、人口が減少し、新たなものづくりや経済面で世界をリードできるものが少なくなりつつある今の日本が少しだけ心配になってきました。

I had to go to Yokosuka, so I went to Mikasa Park. I knew that there was a memorial ship "Mikasa" here, but I had never been on board.

I learned from my first ride that the ship was finally preserved in Mikasa Park after many twists and turns.

I also learned about the famous Battle of the Sea of Japan. Japan was able to defeat the Baltic Fleet, which was said to be the strongest in the world, largely because its shells were three times more accurate than those of the Russians.

Of course, it turned out that the Baltic Fleet was tired from its long journey and underestimated Japan, a small country in the Far East.

It seems that Japan's victory in this naval battle 50 years after opening its borders to the outside world, as well as its victory in the Russo-Japanese War, encouraged the Asian countries to follow suit, and as a result, Japan was able to maintain its independence and not become a colony.

And this is probably why it was preserved as a memorial ship and became one of the three most important memorial ships in the world.

It was a good opportunity to recognize once again that our country is built on a mission that involves the sacrifice of many lives and still requires us to win.

On the other hand, I am a little worried about Japan today, where the population is shrinking and there is less and less to lead the world in terms of new manufacturing and economy.

鎌倉にぎわい三大ストリート Kamakura Nigiwai 3 major streets

今回も鎌倉ネタです。鎌倉にはにぎわい三大ストリートと言われる道があります。しかし、にぎわい方が全く違うので、そのあたりをご紹介します。まずは、【若宮大路】
若宮大路は、鶴岡八幡宮から由比ガ浜海岸まで一直線に伸びる参道です。

八幡宮の入口にある三の鳥居と鎌倉駅より少し八幡宮よりの場所にある二の鳥居の間は、段葛(だんかずら)と呼ばれる盛土の車道に挟まれた参道があります。

源頼朝が妻の政子の安産を祈願して造らせたそうで、八幡宮に向かって徐々に道幅が狭くなる遠近法が採用されています。

ここは鶴岡八幡宮にお詣りするというワクワク感を持ちつつ、車や人を気にせず落ち着いて歩くことが出来るので、デートや散策にピッタリのストリートと言えます。

【Wakamiya-oji Avenue】
Wakamiya-oji is an approach that stretches in a straight line from Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine to Yuigahama Beach.

Between the third torii gate at the entrance of Hachimangu Shrine and the second torii gate, located slightly closer to Hachimangu Shrine than Kamakura Station, is an embanked approach called "dankatsu" (terraced path), which is interrupted by a roadway.

It is said that Minamoto no Yoritomo had it built to pray for the safe delivery of his wife, Masako, and the path gradually narrows toward Hachimangu Shrine, adopting a perspective method.

This is a perfect street for a date or a stroll, where you can walk calmly without worrying about cars or people, while still having a sense of excitement.

The Torii gate can be seen on the left as soon as you exit the East Exit of Kamakura Station, and the shopping street stretches from there to Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, which is the busiest shopping street in Kamakura.

【小町通り】
鎌倉駅の東口を出てすぐ左に鳥居が見え、そこから鶴岡八幡宮まで伸びる鎌倉で一番賑わっている商店街です。

鎌倉らしさを醸し出しつつ、なんとなく原宿の竹下通りをイメージさせるような雰囲気の小路です。

観光客向けの商店や食べ物のお店が所せましとあるので、中々前に進めないという面白いスポットなので、一度は訪れてみることをお勧めします。

【Komachi-dori Street】
It is a small street that exudes Kamakura-like atmosphere and somehow reminds one of Takeshita-dori in Harajuku.

It is an interesting spot where you can hardly move forward because there are so many products and foods for tourists, so we recommend that you visit it at least once.

【御成通り】
小町通りの喧騒とは違って、地元の人やリピーターの観光客が多い印象の道です。賑やかなところより、鎌倉ならではのこだわりのあるお店などを自分で発見したい人には向いているかもしれません。

ただし、車も普通に通る道なので若宮大路や小町通りと同様にブラブラ歩くのは少し危険ですので、道の端を歩くように心がけた方が良いと感じました。

【Onari-dori Street】
Unlike the hustle and bustle of Komachi-dori, this street gives the impression of having many locals and repeat tourists. It may be better suited for those who want to discover for themselves the unique stores and other specialties of Kamakura rather than the bustle of the city.

However, since cars usually pass by on this street, it is a bit dangerous to wander around like on Wakamiya-oji or Komachi-dori, so it is better to walk along the edge of the street.

日本の春に沢山の鯉が川の上空を飛んでいる理由とは？ Why are so many carp flying over the rivers in spring in Japan?

５月から旅系ブログに特化したはずですが、「これは何？」と思われた方もいらっしゃるかもしれません。

でも、実は私の旅系の範囲は自分の旅だけではく、海外から日本に来る方、あるいは日本の他の地域から私が住んでいる横浜に来る方への情報提供も含めていますので、ご勘弁ください。

ということで、今回は、（既に過ぎてしまいましたが）「こどもの日」に因んで、鯉のぼりの話題です。

最近、横浜辺りでは各家庭での鯉のぼりはすっかり少なくなっています。

一方、川の上に沢山の鯉のぼりが泳いでいる光景をよく目にするようになりました。

日本のある程度の年齢の方ならこの事情は概ねご存知だと思いますが、若い方や海外の方はどのように見るのかな？とふと疑問に思いました。

そこで、自分なりにどうしてこうなったのかを次のとおり考えてみました。

１．もともとは男の子のいる各家庭で竹竿などを利用して掲げていた。

２．都市部では住宅事情が変化し、戸建て住宅の敷地が狭くなり、また集合住宅化が進んだ。

３．また、こどもの日を祝う方法として、兜や五月人形など、家の中に飾られるものがもてはやされ、鯉のぼりの需要が減った。

４．そうした家庭で、こどもが成長したが、鯉のぼりを捨てることを躊躇する家庭もあった。

５．そのことを逆手にとって、各家庭から不要になった鯉のぼりを集めて、地域活性化のイベントとして川などに掲げる先進事例が出始めた。

６．そうした事例を参考にして、日本の各地でこの取組が進んだ。

I thought I was specializing in travel-related blogs since May. Some of you may have wondered, "What is this?
But please forgive me, as the scope of my travel-related blog is actually not limited to my own travel, but also includes providing information to those who come to Japan from overseas or from other parts of Japan to Yokohama, where I live.

So, this time, I would like to talk about Koinobori (carp streamers) in connection with Children's Day (which has already passed).

Recently, carp streamers have been decreasing in Yokohama area. On the other hand, Ｉ often see many carp streamers swimming on the river.
People of a certain age in Japan are generally familiar with this situation, but I wondered how young people and people from overseas see them. I suddenly wondered.

So, I tried to think about how this happened in my own way as follows.

1. Originally, each household with boys used bamboo poles to hang up the lanterns.

2. In urban areas, housing conditions have changed, and the sites for detached houses have become smaller and the housing complexes have become more and more crowded.

3. In addition, the demand for carp streamers has decreased due to the popularity of decorations inside the house, such as helmets and May dolls, as a way to celebrate Children's Day.

4. Some of these families were hesitant to throw away their carp streamers after their children grew up.

5. Taking advantage of this situation, some families began to collect their unwanted carp streamers and display them on rivers as a community revitalization event.

6. Referring to such cases, this initiative has been promoted in various parts of Japan.

鎌倉大仏様の守り神？それともペット？

かなり久しぶりに高徳院に行きました。 外国人旅行者の多さに驚くとともに、変わらず優しそうな表情の大仏様に安心しました。

そして、台座のところに守り神のようにいたカラスに少し驚きました。 なんと、観光客からもらったのか奪ったのかわかりませんが、おせんべいを持っていて、それをくちばしで破り、まんまと中のおせんべいをゲットしていました。 仏さまに守り神とはおかしな話なので、たぶん、カラスは大仏様のペットなのでしょう！

鎌倉で必見のスポットを再確認 Reconfirming Must-See Spots in Kamakura

本日から旅を中心にしたブログにさせてもらいます。(また、この機会に敬語にします。)

ということで、まずは鎌倉。

久しく鎌倉には行ってなかったのですが、写真と動画を撮るために訪れました。

驚いたのは、観光客の多さ。外国人の方々と中高生が沢山来ていました。中高生は修学旅行かもしれません。

今回は、初めて鎌倉に行くことを検討している人向けの紹介動画にしたかったので、本当に誰でも知っているスポットばかりに行きました。

例えば、小町通り、若宮大路、鶴岡八幡宮、江ノ電に乗り、由比ヶ浜、長谷寺、高徳院・鎌倉大仏、そして、スラムダンクの聖地、鎌倉高校前踏切です。

最後のスラムダンクの聖地は、多分台湾の方々ばかりでした。
すでに旅行客については、コロナ禍前に戻りつつあると感じます。

Starting today, I will be blogging mainly about my travels.

So, let's start with Kamakura.

I hadn't been there for a long time, but I visited there to take photos and videos.

What surprised me was the number of tourists. There were many foreigners and junior and senior high school students. The middle and high school students might be on a school excursion.

This time, I wanted to make an introduction video for people who are considering visiting Kamakura for the first time, so all the spots were really familiar to everyone.

The places are: Komachi-dori, Wakamiya-oji, Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, Enoden, Yuigahama, Hase-ji Temple, Kotokuin and Kamakura Big Buddha, and the sacred place of Slam Dunk, Kamakura High School Crossing.

The last sacred place of Slam Dunk was probably full of Taiwanese people.

ブログのタイトルを変更します Change the title of the blog

大変長い間、お世話になりました。2019年の12月31日が最初の投稿で、お陰様でこの投稿で1500回目になります。

これまで「Morning Yoga & Pao L ife」という意味不明のタイトルで、お付き合い頂いた方も、さぞかし困惑されたことと思います。

始めた頃は本当にヨガとパオという頬の皮膚が下がらないようにする美容器具を、朝に少しだけ行っていたので、勢いでそんなタイトルをつけたのです。

しかし、ほどなくしてヨガもパオも諦め、オンライン英会話のレッスンに時間を割くようになった次第で、ブログ名と実際が食い違っていました。

今回、1500回目を迎えたのを機に、ブログ名をJingashita blogに改めます。

また、これまでは、思いついたことを何でも投稿していましたが、好きな分野である旅や街歩きなどを中心に投稿することとします。

さらに、ここ数年は毎日の投稿を自分の中で義務付けていましたが、あまり無理することはないと考え直し、最低でも月曜日と金曜日の週に2回にいたします。

勿論、それ以外にも何かの節目には臨時投稿することもあるかと思います。

これまで、何だか訳のわからない雑多な投稿内容にも関わらず、お付き合いいただき、とても感謝しています。

タイトルが変わっても引き続き、どうぞよろしくお願いします。

Thank you for your very long service; December 31, 2019 was my first post, and thanks to you, this post will be my 1500th.

I am sure those of you who have been following along have been confused by the unintelligible title "Morning Yoga & Pao L ife" until now.

When I started, I really did a little bit of yoga and Pao, a beauty device to prevent the skin on my cheeks from falling, in the mornings, so I gave it such a title in the heat of the moment.

However, I soon gave up both yoga and Pao, and began to devote more time to online English lessons.

This time, on the occasion of my 1,500th entry, I am changing the name of my blog to Jingashita blog.

Also, I have been posting whatever comes to my mind, but I will now focus on my favorite fields, such as traveling and city walking.

In addition, for the past few years, I have obligated myself to post daily, but I have changed my mind and will post at least twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays.

Of course, there will be other times when I may make an occasional post at some other milestone.

Thank you very much for your patience with me so far, despite the somewhat incomprehensible and miscellaneous content of my posts.

Please continue to do so even if the title changes.

トラベル三脚を買ったのに持っていかない I bought a travel tripod, but I don't take it with me.

実はゴールデンウィーク中に旅行に行く。そのためにトラベル三脚を購入しておいたのだが、やはり持ってかないことにした。

「え〜⁈ もったいない！」と思う人もいるだろうが、嵩張るのと重たいのと2つの理由だ。

3泊4日の旅の中で、どのくらい使う頻度があるかと言えば、それは多くはないと気がついたのだ。

ほぼ全体を撮る場合は、アクションカメラのDJI osmo action3が活躍する。
歩きながらの撮影も同様だ。

三脚が必要なのは、SONYzv-e10で夜景や、特別に綺麗な動く風景を撮る場合になる。

しかし、嵩張るし重い。とりあえずは、シューティンググリップを広げればミニ三脚にもなる。

ということで、無駄になった三脚だが、「今後は、観光ではなく撮影に特化した場合には持っていく」と三脚に約束した。

I'm actually going on a trip on golden week.. I bought a travel tripod for that purpose, but I still decided not to take it with me.

What a waste! I know some of you may think "What a waste!", but there are two reasons: it's bulky and heavy.

I realized that I would not use it very often during my 4-day/3-night trip.

For taking pictures of almost the entire trip, the DJI osmo action3 action camera will do the job.
The same goes for shooting while walking.

The only time I need a tripod is when I use the SONYzv-e10 to take night shots or exceptionally beautiful moving landscapes.

But it is bulky and heavy. For now, you can use it as a mini tripod by extending the shooting grip.

So, the tripod was wasted, but I promised the tripod that I would take it in the future when I specialize in shooting, not sightseeing.

たまにはスイーツ Sweets once in a while

ファミリーレストランに行っても、大体はセットではなく、単体のものを注文してしまう。

多いのは坦々麺などの麺類だ。
しかし、今回は家族で行ったため、皆が食後のデザートを頼んでいた。

そこで、今回は思い切って、抹茶アイスを注文した。

なるほど、美味しく出来ている。いつもどおりではなく、たまにはスイーツもいいかもしれない。

When I go to a family restaurant, I generally order a stand-alone item rather than a set.

Most often, it is a noodle dish such as tantanmen.
But this time, since I went with my family, everyone ordered an after-dinner dessert.

So this time, I took the plunge and ordered matcha ice cream.

Well, it turned out to be delicious. It might be nice to have sweets once in a while instead of the usual.

飲みすぎたのに3000円？ I drank too much and it cost 3,000 yen?

久しぶりに仕事帰りにちょい飲みになった。沢山歩き回った後だったので、とてもビールが美味かった。

スーパードライがジョッキで199円、税込でも219円なので、躊躇なく飲み進んだ。

ちょっと調子に乗り、飲みすぎたが、何と会計は3000円？
どうも、つまみを頼まなかったらしい。

コロナ禍で仕事関係の飲み会が極端に少なかったが、やはり本音が聞けるの飲み会は面白い。

It had been a while since I had a little drink after work. After walking around a lot, the beer was very tasty.

A mug of Super Dry cost 199 yen, or 219 yen including tax, so I drank it without hesitation.

I got carried away and drank too much, but the bill came to 3,000 yen.
Apparently, I didn't order any snacks.

There were very few work-related drinking parties due to the Corona disaster, but it was interesting to hear their honest opinions at a drinking party.

2万歩はかなり堪える 20,000 steps is quite bearable.

以前は、2万歩歩いてもそれほどきついとは思わなかったが、ここ1〜2年はかなり堪える。

高校生の時に登山部だったのだが、夏山の縦走で30Kg近いザックを一週間背負っていて、ようやく家に帰ってきた時のような疲れようだ。

毎日のように筋トレや有酸素運動をしていても、体力を維持できていないのだろうか？　それともそれがよくないのか？

本当はきちんとストレッチすれば良いのだろうが、それも疲れすぎていて出来ない。

いずれにしても、疲れたら早く眠って回復させるしかない。

In the past, walking 20,000 steps did not seem so hard, but for the past year or two, it has been quite bearable.

I was a member of a mountaineering club when I was in high school, and I feel as tired as when I finally returned home after a week of carrying a 30 kg backpack on my back during a summer mountain trek.

Am I not maintaining my fitness even though I do strength training and aerobic exercise every day?　Or is that not a good thing?

I guess I should really stretch properly, but I'm too tired to do that too.

In any case, the only way to recover is to sleep quickly when you are tired.
