向日葵と紫陽花 Sunflower and hydrangea

出勤時に向日葵が咲いているのに気づきました。

これまで紫陽花ばかりに気を取られていたので、少し驚きました。

でも、それは梅雨は紫陽花、夏は向日葵という私の勝手な思い込み。

考えてみれば、季節はつながっているので、驚くことでもないはずでした。

気温が30℃を超える日も出てきており、梅雨明けはしていなくても徐々に夏に向かっています。

明るくて開放的なのは良いのですが、毎年少しづつ憂鬱な季節になっています。

I noticed sunflowers blooming on my way to work.

I was a little surprised because I had been preoccupied only with hydrangeas until now.

However, it was my own assumption that hydrangeas are in bloom during the rainy season and sunflowers during the summer.

Come to think of it, the seasons are connected, so it shouldn't have been a surprise to me.

Temperatures are now exceeding 30°C on some days, and even though the rainy season has not ended, we are gradually moving toward summer.

Although it is bright and open, it is becoming a little more depressing season every year.
