「青天を衝け」"Reach Beyond the Blue Sky" [Impression]
この「青天を衝け」は、大河ドラマの中でもあまり視聴率が伸びなかったらしい。
でも、私にとっては演出、キャスト、ロケ地など、とても魅力的だった。
実は、ここ数年間、NHKの大河ドラマで明治時代以降の作品を最後まで見続けたことがなかった。
しかし、今回の「青天を衝け」は、最終回まで常に興味をもって見る事ができた。
それは何故なのか、考えてみた。
一つは、最近、自分の興味が日本の近代史にも広がったこと。
明治維新から昭和にどのようなことが行われたかを知りたいと、興味を持ち始めた時期であった。
次に、この作品が、戦さや政治だけの話ではなかったこと。つまり、幕末から明治にかけての日本の文化、経済などが欧米などと、どのように違っていたかを伝えていたこと。
さらに、明治の元勲と呼ばれるような、言い換えれば、紙幣に顔が印刷されるような人が、実際にはどんな人だったのかも紹介されていた。
そうした多角的な面で作られた作品だったから、この大河ドラマを見続けられたのだと思う。(画像はNHKホームページより)
