「『利他』とは何か」伊藤亜紗 編 "What is" Rita "" Asa Ito [Impression]
昨年「2030年ジャック・アタリの未来予測」という本を読んだ。
その中に、「このままでは、良くない方向に行ってしまうことが確実だ。その解決策のキーワードになるのが利他主義だ。」と言っていた。
実は、その時、私自身は分かったような気持ちでいたが、完全に理解出来ていたわけでなく、気になっていたのだ。
この本は、東京工業大学の先生達が、「利他」をそれぞれ違った分野から研究したものを発表したものだ。
だからなのか、とてもわかりやすい章とそうでないと章があった。
自分にとっては、数値化で消える利他の感情という項目がわかりやすかった。
具体例として、イスラエルの託児所の例が興味深い。
「イスラエルのいくつかの託児所で、お迎えに遅れた親に罰金制を導入したら、かえって遅れて迎えに来る親が増えた。
倫理観が数字による管理に置き換わったことで、倫理が消失した。
人が数字に縛られるとき、その行為から利他が抜け落ちる。」
この部分だ。
さらに、「利他とは聞くことを通じて、相手の隠れた可能性を引き出すこと。と同時に自分が変わること。善意の押し付けでなく、うつわのように余白を持つこと。
つまり、さまざまな存在が入ってこれるスペースを作ること。」という。
「計画通りに進むことより、予想外の生成を楽しむこと。
そうすることで、利他の他は、人間世界を超えて、生類全てに開かれて行く。」
引用が多かったが、利他主義を以前よりも少しは、理解出来た気がする。
