台所風景変わる雨水かな Rainwater changing the kitchen scenery?

実は、冷蔵庫が新しくなった。
そうなるまでは、紆余曲折あった。

もともと、2月には冷蔵庫を新しくしたかったパートナー。家電量販店に行き、話を聞きパンフレットをいただいてきた。

パンフレットと睨めっこしながら選んだ製品を店員さんに示すと、もしかしたら搬入できないかもしれないとのこと。

それは、ドアなどの寸法がかなり厳しいという理由だった。

実際に搬入できるかどうか調べてもらうために、見積もりに来てもらったから、出来ないとのこと。

そうなると、引越しの時に冷蔵庫を搬入してくれた引越し業者さんにお願いするしかない。

と言うことで、引越し業者さんに来てもらったら、自らの会社で販売している冷蔵庫なら、なんとか入れることが出来るとのこと。

家電量販店よりも随分と高くなるが、背に腹は変えられない。

引越し業者さんから冷蔵庫を買うことにした。

そして、今日がその搬入の日だった。多分朝から引越し作業を行ってきたメンバー3名が夕方に訪れた。

しかし、「なかり厳しい」と判断したらしく、会社の上司と電話でやり取りをしていた。

こちらとすると、数日でも冷蔵庫がない状況は耐え難く、傷がついてもなんとか運び入れて欲しいと伝えた。

結局、扉の開き方を調整した上でなんとか設置出来た。

本当は、家電量販店と引越し業者さんがタイアップしてくれれば良いのだが、まあ仕方がない。

次に冷蔵庫を買い替える時は、小さいものになるだろうが、運び出しが出来るのか心配ではある。

Until that happened, there were twists and turns.

Originally, my partner wanted to buy a new refrigerator in February. We went to an electronics retailer, talked to them, and received pamphlets.

When we presented the product we had selected to the sales clerk, who stared at the pamphlet, we were told that we might not be able to bring it in.

The reason was that the dimensions of the door and other parts were quite tight.

He said he could not do it because he had asked us to come to the store for an estimate to find out if we could actually carry it in.

Then we would have to ask the movers who brought the refrigerator in when we moved out.

So we asked the moving company to come over, and they told us that they could manage to put in the refrigerator if it was sold by their own company.

It would be much more expensive than at a home appliance store, but we could not turn our backs to them.

We decided to buy a refrigerator from the moving company.

And today was the day of its delivery. Three members of the team, who had probably been working on the move since the morning, visited in the evening.

However, they seemed to have decided that it would be "quite tough," and they were on the phone with the company's boss.

For our part, the situation without a refrigerator even for a few days was unbearable, and we told them that we wanted them to bring it in somehow, even if it was damaged.

In the end, we managed to install it after adjusting the door opening.

In fact, it would have been better if the appliance store and the moving company had tied up, but, well, we had no choice.

The next time I buy a new refrigerator, it will probably be a smaller one, but I am worried about whether I will be able to carry it out.
