こどもの面倒は楽しいが疲れる Taking care of children is fun but tiring.

半日だけ4歳児の面倒をみることになった。どんなことを言うのか、どんな成長があるのか、楽しみである。

でも、実際に付き合っていると、とてもペースについていけない。何しろ面白そうなことをずっと探していて、楽しければ、そのことをずっとなるからだ。

たまたま外でサッカーボールを使って遊んだら、それが彼にはハマった。

身体を動かしたので、昼ごはんを食べてキッズYouTubeを見始めたら、すぐにお昼寝してくれたので、こちらも一息つけた。

自分が子育てをしていた時は、疲れたとは感じたことがなかったはずだが、終日面倒をみている親は大変だなとつくづく思った。

I have to take care of a four-year-old for half a day. I am looking forward to seeing what he will say and how he will grow.

However, when I actually go out with him, I find it hard to keep up with his pace. He is always looking for something interesting, and if he enjoys it, he will do it all the time.

We happened to play with a soccer ball outside and that got him hooked.

Since he was so physically active, we ate lunch and started watching kids YouTube, and he took a nap right away, so I got a break too.

When I was raising my own children, I would never have felt tired, but I realized how hard it is for parents to take care of their children all day long.
