近くにあるほど行かない The closer you are, the less you go.

歩いていて、日本郵船歴史博物館が閉館になると知った。

歴史的な建物なので、その部分は保存して、周りの敷地と合わせて再開発するそうだ。

ところで、この博物館。いつか行ってみようと思っていたが、これまで訪れたことがなかったので、閉館までには行ってみようと決めた。

実は、昨年くらいにオープンした平行移動のロープウェイや水陸両用バスなども、いつか乗ろうと思っていて、いまだに乗っていない。

いつでも行けると思うと、いつまでも行かないので、行くと決めないとならない。

While walking around, I learned that the NYK Museum of History is closing.

Since it is a historical building, they are going to save that part of the building and redevelop it with the surrounding site.

By the way, this museum. I had been planning to visit there someday, but since I had never visited there before, I decided to make it a point to go there before the museum closes.

In fact, I have also been planning to ride the parallel ropeway and amphibious buses that opened last year or so, but have yet to do so.

I have to decide to go because if I think I can go anytime, I will never go.
