伊香保温泉の石段街 Stone steps Street in Ikaho Onsen

初めて伊香保温泉に来た。石段街が有名とのことで、バスから降りて最初に目に入ったのが、この写真の風景だ。

全部で365段の石段。一年中賑わって欲しいという願いを込めて、作られたそうだ。途中、自分の誕生日の石段で記念撮影すると、恋愛運と健康運が上がるとされているので、信じているわけではないが、パチリとシャッターを押してもらった。

石段の両脇にはお土産屋や射的などの遊技場、飲食店、旅館などがあり、登り切ると、一番上には伊香保神社があった。

そこからの眺めもよく、とても面白い観光スポットだと思う。
夕方から雪が降り続いたので、明日は雪景色が見られそうだ。

This was my first visit to Ikaho Onsen. I was told that the area is famous for its stone steps, and the first thing I saw when I got off the bus was the scenery in this photo.

There are 365 stone steps in total. It is said that the stone steps were built in the hope that the area would be crowded all year round. On the way to the temple, I took a commemorative photo at the stone step on my birthday, which is said to bring luck in love and health, so although I do not believe in it, I took a snapshot.

On either side of the stone steps were souvenir shops, amusement parks with shooting games, restaurants, and ryokan (Japanese-style inns), and when we reached the top of the steps, we found the Ikaho Shrine at the top.

The view from there was also very interesting and a great sightseeing spot.
It has been snowing since the evening, so we will likely see a snowy landscape tomorrow.
