東急シアターオーブ Tokyu Theater Orb

先日、初めて訪れたシアターオーブ。ミュージカル専用劇場とのことで、とてもよく出来ている。

渋谷ヒカリエなので、渋谷駅に直結で、しかも11階が入り口なので、渋谷の街を一望出来る。

コロナ禍でなく、しかも夜の公演なら、休憩時間にワインやビールでも飲みながら、夜景を楽しめるはずだ。

一階席に向かうと、正面に大きな緞帳があった。初めはピカソの作品かと思ったが、解説文を読むと、建築家ル・コルビジェの作品を再現したもの。

以前、この場所にあった東急文化会館の映画館「パンテオン」の緞帳を1/5にして再現したという。

なるほど粋な計らいだ。シアターは音響などとても素晴らしかった。

The theater orb I visited for the first time the other day. It's a musical theater, so it's very well done.

Since it is Shibuya Hikarie, it is directly connected to Shibuya Station, and the entrance is on the 11th floor, so you can overlook the city of Shibuya.

If it's not a corona disaster, and it's a night performance, you should be able to enjoy the night view while drinking wine or beer during breaks.

When I headed to the first floor, there was a big stage curtain in front of me. At first I thought it was Picasso's work, but when I read the commentary, it was a reproduction of the work of architect Le Corbusier.

It is said that the stage curtain of the movie theater "Pantheon" at the Tokyu Bunka Kaikan, which used to be in this place, was reproduced as 1/5.

I see, it's a smart measure. The theater was very nice with sound.
