「LNG 欧州に融通」に思うこと Thinking about "flexibility in LNG Europe"

政府は液化天然ガスを欧州に融通することを発表した。
勿論、「日本国内の需要に影響を与えない範囲で」とのことだ。

これは、ロシアのウクライナ再侵攻への対応策として、アメリカが日本に求めてきていた内容である。

国際的にロシアを包囲する目的なので、一定の理解は出来る。ただ、政府は具体的な数量を示しておらず、一番電力需要の多いこの時期に、本当に融通しても、大丈夫なのだろうかとの懸念は残る。

また、とても気になったことがある。それは自給率。日本はLNGの世界最大の輸入国であり、エネルギー自給率は1割弱。そして、食糧自給率も4割弱である。

この数字を何を意味するのか、考えてみれば、自分達の生活は、外国からの輸入がないと続けることが出来ないということがわかる。

そんなことは、以前から分かりきっていたことだが、国際的な紛争に対して、知らんぷりすることはもう出来ないということだ。

つまり、武力か経済を問わず、国際的な紛争に対して、「俺はそんなことに付き合わないから、勝手にやれば？」という態度がとれないのだ。

そう考えると、昔ながらのカッコいい一本筋の通った日本男児的な態度は取れない。

言い換えれば、「二枚舌、太鼓持ち」と言われるような調子の良い国として立ち居振る舞いしなくてはならない。

そう考えると、子孫のためにも、外国に出来るだけ頼らずに、自分達でエネルギーも食糧も作り、ゴミも処分する日本社会を作る必要があるなぁと感じたニュースであった。(写真はイメージ画像:pixabay)

Since it is the purpose of besieging Russia internationally, it can be understood to some extent. However, the government has not given a specific quantity, and there remains concern about whether it is okay to really accommodate it at this time of the year when electricity demand is the highest.

Also, I was very interested in it. That is the self-sufficiency rate. Japan is the world's largest importer of LNG, and its energy self-sufficiency rate is less than 10%. And the food self-sufficiency rate is less than 40%.

If you think about what this number means, you can see that our lives cannot be continued without imports from foreign countries.

That's something we've known for a long time, but it's no longer possible to know about international conflicts.

In other words, regardless of whether it is armed or economic, it is not possible to take the attitude of "I don't deal with such things, so why not do it without permission" in response to international conflicts.

With that in mind, I can't take the old-fashioned, cool, straightforward Japanese boyish attitude.

In other words, we have to behave as a country in good condition, which is said to be "double tongue, taiko holding".
