「怒り」吉田修一 "Angry" Shuichi Yoshida

上下2巻の大作。最初に事件が発生し、その犯人らしい人物が数人いて、それぞれの描写がずっと続くという展開。共通するのは、真犯人は勿論のこと、その他の人物も本名を名乗れない事情があることだ。
その辺りの事情を書くとネタバレになるので、あまり書けない。ただ、著者は人間のネガティブな面を描くのがうまいなぁ〜と感心する。
読後の感想としては、スッキリ感がなく、少し消化不良な感情が残っている。
それはミステリーだと読めば、何もかもが解明されることを期待するからだが、もしかしたら、この本は純文学に近いのかもしれない。そう思って読めば、確かに凄い作品である。

A masterpiece with two volumes, top and bottom. The incident first occurred, and there were several people who seemed to be the criminals, and the depiction of each continued forever. What they have in common is that not only the true criminal but also other people cannot give their real names.
I can't write much because it would be spoiled if I write about the circumstances around that. However, the author is impressed that he is good at drawing the negative side of human beings.
As for the impression after reading, there is no refreshing feeling, and a little indigestion feeling remains.
If you read it as a mystery, you expect everything to be revealed, but maybe this book is close to pure literature. If you read it with that in mind, it is certainly a great work.
