「オロロ畑でつかまえて」萩原浩 "Catch in the Ororo field" Hiroshi Hagiwara

少し前に私は「陽気なギャングが地球を回す」という本を読んだ。それは、笑える小説という分類から探したものだった。
今回は「ユーモア小説の傑作」と呼ばれるこの作品にトライした。

著者は、この作品で第10回小説すばる新人賞受賞を受賞している。また、「明日の記憶」という作品では、山本周五郎賞も受賞しているし、今はその選考委員にもなっている。つまり、ユーモア小説だけではない作家さんだ。

この作品を一言で紹介すれば、「東北の寂れた村の村おこし」だ。強い訛りの表現を除き、ストーリー展開は軽妙であり、気楽に読み進めた。

興味深いのは各章のタイトル。全て広告業界で使われる用語である。そして、それがきちんとタイトルになり得ているところは、感心した。

内容はユーモア小説というだけあって、確かに随所に笑いのネタが盛り込まれている。
ただ、ゲラゲラ笑うというのではなく、クスッと笑う感じだ。

この登場人物たちが繰り広げる違うストーリー、つまり続編があれば私は読んでみたいと思った。

This time, I tried this work called "masterpiece of humorous fiction".

In a word, this work is "Mura-Okoshi, a lonely village in Tohoku." Except for the expression of a strong accent, the story development was light and I read it comfortably.

What is interesting is the title of each chapter. All are terms used in the advertising industry. And I was impressed that it could be the title properly.

The content is just a humorous novel, and it certainly contains laughter stories everywhere.
However, it's not like laughing, it's like laughing.

I would love to read if there was a different story of these characters, a sequel.
