「マスカレード・ナイト」東野圭吾 "Masquerade Night" Keigo Higashino

「マスカレード」シリーズの3作目。登場人物や、高級シティホテルでの物語の展開には、私自身随分と慣れてきたので、かなりハイスピードで読み終えた。
しかし、犯人像などは今回も全く想像もつかなかった。思いも寄らない結果には驚くばかりだ。
一人だけ本当の正体が予想できた客もいたが、それは事件の本筋から外れていた。
ミステリーとしてのストーリー展開は脱帽するばかりだが、本当にホテルという場所がこれほど仮面を被ったお客様ばかりなら、大変だろうなぁと思う。
これだけネタがあるなら、第4作目もあるかなぁ〜と、少し期待しつつ読み終えた。

The third work in the "Masquerade" series. I've gotten used to the characters and the storyline at the luxury city hotel, so I finished reading it at a fairly high speed.
However, I couldn't imagine the image of the criminal again this time. The unexpected results are amazing.
There was one customer who could have predicted the true identity, but that was not the main point of the case.
The story development as a mystery just takes off my hat, but I think it would be difficult if the hotel is really a place with such masks.
If there is so much material, I wonder if there will be a fourth work, so I finished reading with a little expectation.
