英会話予約取れないクリスマス97 I couldn't get an appointment for English conversation lessons in Christmas

オンラインでの英会話レッスンは休みにした。何故なら、クリスマスでお休みの先生が多くて、予約が取れなかったからだ。

フィリピンの先生らと話をしていると、家族が集まって、食べたり飲んだりしながら、自宅でカラオケを夜通し歌ったりするらしい。

カラオケを自宅でというのを除き、昔の日本のお正月の過ごし方に近いかもしれない。

ところで、今朝は久しぶりにiPhoneのアラームをセットしないですんだ。

ということで、9時間半も寝てしまった。年末年始の休暇中は適正睡眠時間の計測をするつもりだが、思いの外、よく寝れるものだと少し驚いでいる。

I talked to some teachers in the Philippines, and they told me that they have family gatherings where they eat, drink, and sing karaoke all night long at home.

Except for the karaoke at home, it is probably similar to the way people used to spend New Year's in Japan.

By the way, I didn't set the alarm on my iPhone this morning for the first time in a while.

So I slept for nine and a half hours. I intend to measure the proper amount of sleep during the New Year's vacation, but I am a little surprised to find that I sleep better than I thought I would.
