英会話レジェンドとなる梅雨の朝 50 On the morning of the rainy season, I became a legend in English conversation.

Previously, it was a level called "master", but it became the highest rank.

Legend may mean "legendary person", but I tried to overlap myself with the athletes I often hear in the news, but not very much, but my English conversation has not reached that level.

It's awkward, and I have to say it's ridiculous.

It's true that I took 1,200 lessons of 25 minutes each, but I'm still not fluent in speaking English.

However, by being given the title of Legend, I am sure that I wanted to learn more English so as not to be ashamed of it.

I've seen on TV that King Kazu, who is known as the legend of Japanese soccer, Kazuyoshi Miura often says, "I want to get better!"

It's awkward to overlap with him, but I have no choice but to continue to work hard without giving up my aspirations.

オンライン英会話のレッスン画面の雰囲気が変わったので、よく見たら、「英会話時間合計　30000分　レジェンド」となっていた。

以前は、「マスター」と言うレベルだったが、最上位のランクになったのだ。

レジェンドは「伝説的人物」という意味合いだろうが、よくニュースで聞くスポーツ選手などに自分を重ねてみたが、とてもじゃないが、私の英会話はそのレベルに至っていない。

おこがましいし、「とんでもないこと」だと言うしかない。

確かに1回25分のレッスンを1200回受けたというのは事実だが、まだまだ流暢に英語を話せるようになっていないのだ。

ただ、このレジェンドという称号を与えてもらったことにより、それに恥じないように、より英語を深く学ぼうと思ったことは確かだ。

日本サッカーのレジェンドと呼ばれるキングカズこと、三浦和良選手も、「もっと上手くなりたい!」とよく言っているのを私はテレビで見たことがある。

彼と自分を重ねるのは、それこそおこがましいが、向上心を捨てずに引き続き励むしかない。
