野ざらし紀行、再発見 Nozarashi Kikou, rediscovery

松尾芭蕉最初の紀行文である「野ざらし紀行」の押し絵入り自筆稿が再発見されたとの新聞記事を先日読んだ。

以前の自分なら何ら気に留めなかった記事だ。
しかし、今年から、俳句に興味を持ち始めたので、多分目に入ったのだと思う。

芭蕉が俳人だと理解していたが、押し絵も自分で描いていたことは知らなかった。

15メートルにも及ぶ蒔絵とのことで、俳句と文章、絵がどのようになっているのか、実際に見てみたいと思った。

10月から京都の福田美術館で公開されるようなので、そのための旅をしてみようかとも思う。

しかし、俳句と絵で訪れた場所を表現するなんて、松尾芭蕉という人はとても粋な人だったんだなと思うようになってきた。

I recently read a newspaper article saying that the autographed manuscript of "Nozarashi Kikou", the first travelogue of Basho Matsuo, was rediscovered.

It's an article that I didn't care about before.
But from this year, I started to be interested in haiku, so I think I probably got into it.

I understood that Basho was a poet, but I didn't know that he also drew the stamps himself.

Acording this article,the lacquer work is 15 meters long, and I wanted to see what the haiku, sentences, and pictures look like.

It will be released at the Fukuda Art Museum in Kyoto from October, so I think I'll take a trip for that.

However, I have come to think that Basho Matsuo was a very stylish person to express the places he visited with haiku and pictures.
