４つ目の危機 Fourth crisis

今、世界の危機は３つある。一つは、地球温暖化がもたらす数々の災害や変化、次に新型コロナウィルス。そして、イスラム原理主義者や共産主義国による民主主義体制への圧力。この３つがいつも危険の種になっている。

しかし、日本にはもう一つある。大地震である。首都直下型地震、南海地震、東海地震など、いつ発生してもおかしくないと言われる大地震の危険性だ。
 
そんなことを考えながら、本日9月１日を迎えた。新聞の記事では防災の日をあまり大きく取り上げていない。デジタル庁の発足、アフガニスタンからの退避、そして、新型コロナウィルスの件ばかりだ。
 
これだけ、様々な危機に直面していると、大地震など忘れてしまうが、自然はそんなことを配慮してくれない。
やはり、防災の日の今日くらいは、改めて大地震への備えについて、考えておく必要がありそうだ。(写真はイメージ画像:pixabay)

There are three global crises now. One is the numerous disasters and changes caused by global warming, and the second is the new coronavirus. And pressure on the democratic system by Islamic fundamentalists and communist countries. These three are always the seeds of danger.

However, there is another one in Japan. It is a big earthquake. There is a danger of large earthquakes such as the Tokyo metropolitan area earthquake, Nankai earthquake, and Tokai earthquake, which are said to occur at any time.

With that in mind, we celebrated September 1st today. Newspaper articles don't cover Disaster Prevention Day very much. It's all about the establishment of the Digital Agency, the evacuation from Afghanistan, and the new coronavirus.

When faced with such various crises, we forget about big earthquakes, but nature does not take such things into consideration.
After all, it seems necessary to think about preparing for a big earthquake again today on Disaster Prevention Day. (photo is an image:pixabay)
