｢ビリーブ 未来への大逆転｣"On the Basis of Sex"

アメリカ最高裁の判事の1人であるルース・ベイダー・ギンズバーグ女史の伝記映画。

ハーバードロースクールの入学時から、最初の裁判までのとても苦しい時代の物語だ。

知らないことの多い私だが、このギンズバーグ女史が、実はアメリカでとても人気のあることをこの映画を観て知った。

女性の人権という点では、日本はアメリカなど欧米に大きく遅れていた。
つまり欧米の影響を受けて、日本の風潮も制度も変わってきたわけだ。

そう考えると、キンズバーグ女史の功績は、世界を変えたことにもなるかもしれない。

社会を変える力は、全てを疑ってかかることから始まるのだろう。
最後の弁明の場面はとても感動的だった。

It's a story of a very difficult time from the time of admission to Harvard Law School to the first trial.

I don't know much, but I learned from this movie that Ms. Ginsburg is actually very popular in the United States.

In terms of women's human rights, Japan was far behind the United States and other Western countries.
In other words, the Japanese climate and system have changed under the influence of Europe and the United States.

With that in mind, Ms. Kinsburg's achievements may have changed the world.

The power to change society will begin with doubting everything.
The scene of the last defense was very moving.
