「怪しい人々」東野圭吾 "Suspicious people" Keigo Higashino

タイトルの意味は、読後に納得。7つの短編集のため、長編とは違い複雑な構成ではない。しかし、それぞれ状況やテーマが異なる。いろんな切り口があるのが新鮮だ。特に、「コスタリカの雨は冷たい」は、珍しく海外が舞台だ。多分、著者が旅行に行った際にインスピレーションが湧いたのだろう。また、遊び心があるが、結末が怖いのは、「灯台にて」だ。いずれにしても、どの作品も面白い。ただ、東野作品は、やっぱり長編がいい。どんな展開になるか、想像出来ないのが魅力だと思う。

The meaning of the title is convincing after reading. Since it is a collection of seven short stories, it is not a complicated structure unlike a feature film. However, each situation and theme is different. It is fresh that there are various cuts. In particular, "The rain in Costa Rica is cold" is rarely set overseas. Perhaps the author was inspired when he went on a trip. Also, the playful but scary ending is "at the lighthouse". In any case, every work is interesting. However, Higashino's work should be a feature film. I think it's attractive that you can't imagine what kind of development it will be.
