タイトルがセンセーショナルだが、内容も期待を裏切っていなかった。
世界に誇れる日本の水、農業に必要な種子、そしてその農地や森などまで、日本の資産が外国企業に売られている。それも静かに、隠れながら、政府主導で淡々と。
また、日本人の仕事、学校、医療、さらには個人情報など日本の未来に関わることまで売られているという。
私は、日本が売られているというより、日本のアイデンティティを侵されていると感じた。それだけ、センセーショナルな内容だった。
しかも、政府が主導して、売れるように仕向けているという。日本を搾取しようとする外国企業の強かさに恐れいった。と同時に先を見通すことが出来ない日本の政治家のお人好し加減にげんなりした。
確かに、最近、IR・統合型リゾート、つまりカジノの誘致の件で、中国企業の賄賂を貰って捕まった衆議院議員がいた。
これは、もしかしたら氷山の一角なのかもしれない。
それでも、著者は、最後に希望を持たせてくれた。「売られたものは取り返せ」と題して、他国の国民が気づいて、盛り返している事例を紹介してくれている。
日本が、こうした事例に取り組むためには、まず、気づくことが大事ではないか？
そうした意味では、日本の多くのジャーナリスト、マスコミの皆さん、市民団体のほか、勿論政治家の方々に、熟読してもらいたい一冊だった。
