新しいコンビニエンス・ストアのスタイル New convenience store style [感想文]
横浜市栄区にある野七里地区。ここはネオポリスという名称で1972年から売り出された約870世帯の閑静な住宅街だ。
しかし、今は高齢化率が50%に達し、一人暮らしのお年寄りも多いという。まさに、限界集落なのだ。多くの商店も姿を消し、小学校も閉校になった。
実は、こんなところに、朝8時から夜8時までしか営業しないローソンが開店した。
更にコミュニティスペースも併設している。
このスペースは、地元自治会などが立ち上げた一般社団法人が運営するとのこと。また、ここでのイベント企画には、コンビニエンス・ストアの収益を一部利用するそうだ。
店員も地元住民だ。この地区に住み続けられるように、街をマネジメントした一つの事例として、とても気になる取り組みだ。(写真はイメージ画像:pixabay)
