Happy Halloween! ハッピー ハロウィン！ [エッセイ]
フォーブスという冊子の統計で、楽天家の度合いを国際比較した統計を見て愕然とした。中国が一番で、日本が最下位だった。たった15くらいの国の比較だが、ダントツに日本が低かった。それは、将来を見通せないからなのか、日本人の性格なのか、未だにわからない。
ところで、本日はハロウィンだ。
私は、2〜3年前から盛り上がっていることを気にし始めた。それ以前も若者を中心に盛り上がっていたのだろうが、全く自分には関係がないので、意識の中に入っていなかったのだ。
しかし、ジムのスタジオプログラムでズンバを踊る際に、皆で仮装をしようということになり、そこで、中年層にもこんなに浸透してきたのかと、実感したのだ。
日本古来の伝統行事が廃れる傾向がある中で、日本人は、クリスマスやバレンタインなど、他国の文化や宗教行事でも、あまり意識せずに、取り入れている。
ほぼ、商品を売りたい企業などの思惑に乗っているだけかもしれないが、「楽しければ、なんでもいいじゃない！」という楽天的な発想を持っていることには救われる思いだ。
I was stunned when I looked at the statistics of the Forbes booklet, an international comparison of the degree of optimists. China was the best and Japan was the lowest. Compared to only about 15 countries, Japan was a low price. I still don't know if it's because I can't see the future or the Japanese character.

I started to care about the excitement that had been happening for 2-3 years. Even before that, it would have been exciting, especially with young people, but because they had nothing to do with them, they were not in consciousness.
However, when dancing Zumba with gym's studio program, everyone decided to dress up, and I realized that it was so popular in middle-aged people.
While traditional Japanese traditional events tend to be abolished, the Japanese adopt it with little awareness of other cultural and religious events such as Christmas and Valentine.
Most of them may just be on the speculation of companies that want to sell their products, but they will be saved if they have an optimistic idea that "if you have fun, you can't do anything!"
