病院って意外にいい絵が？ Hospitals have surprisingly good pictures?

経過観察という名目で、毎年恒例になっているMRI検査に行った。

もう5年以上、経過観察していて問題ないのだから、行かなくてもいいのでは？

と思う反面、行かなくなった途端に良くないことが起きそうで、結局それを医者に言い出せない。

それはともかく、今回気づいたのが、これまで何回も来ているこの病院には、なかなか素晴らしい絵画が多いということ。

外来の全ての科を見て回るのは、不審者だと思われそうで出来なかったが、歩き回る範囲で見ても、大判のの素晴らしい作品が壁に飾られていた。

誰のなんというか作品がはわからない。ただでさえ患者は心配な気持ちを持っているので、それを癒そうとするつもりなのだろうか？

今までそのことに気づかなかった自分が少し情けない。

In the name of "follow-up," I went for my annual MRI scan.

Since I have been under observation for more than five years now and have had no problems, I thought I didn't need to go.

On the other hand, I am afraid that something bad might happen as soon as I stop going, and I can't tell the doctor about it after all.

Anyway, what I noticed this time is that there are many wonderful paintings in this hospital that I have been to many times before.

I couldn't go through all the outpatient departments because I would have looked suspicious, but as far as I could walk around, there were some great large format works of art on the walls.

I don't know who they are or what they are called. Is it an attempt to soothe the patient's anxiety?

I feel a little ashamed that I had not noticed this before.
