「チーズはどこへ消えた」スペンサー・ジョンソン "Where the cheese disappeared" Spencer Johnson

有名な本で、随分昔に読んだことがあるはずだが、内容を全く覚えてないため、改めて読んでみた。

全体的な構成はシンプルで、至って読みやすかった。
事前の前振り、メインストーリー、そしてそれを踏まえた解説という構成となっている。

内容については、やはり素晴らしいと感じた。

そして、本の中で頻繁に出てくる「変化」というキーワードがこれほど身に染みるのは、自分も本質的には、変化を恐れているからだろう。

つまり、若い人より、知らず知らずのうちに変化を恐れている(はずの)中高年こそが読み直すべき本だと感じた。

It's a famous book, and I should have read it a long time ago, but I don't remember the contents at all, so I read it again.

The overall structure was simple and very easy to read.
It consists of a prelude, a main story, and a commentary based on it.

As for the content, I felt it was wonderful.

And the reason why the keyword "change" that appears frequently in books is so familiar to me is that I am essentially afraid of change.

In other words, I felt that middle-aged and older people who are (should) be afraid of change without knowing it should be read more than young people.
